Anyone having trouble with scent throwwith these? Melts are so popular now..and so good..I have 4 meltersa nd have a wonderful fragrant home all the time with them. As with candles..some may throw..but most of the time just smell hot, smoke smell..like cigerettes burning..ugh! With melts no glass (shipping fees) worry about being sued..(I am a hobbyist but I do sell in a few consignment shops). Anyone else going through this? I had a candle in Bonfire Bliss..mind you this is my 3rd test candle..16oz. mason jar,CD 14..beautiful burn..no hot throw! C3 wax..no color. So I burn until there is about 1inch or so of wax in the bottom..stick it on my hot plate..dump the liquid in my warmer bowl..it has been kicking butt all day yesterday and still kicking but tonight! I turned it off at midnight and back on at 7am...so far that makes it 19 hours..I just can't believe it. I have another one doing the same thing..Pink Sugar and Lemon Sugar..cold throw..yummm..hot throw,none! So guess what I will be doing with that one?! The point being here is the wicks are the culprit! It is the same candle with no throw that is now kicking butt..soooooo...I do have some HTP wicks I will try to..but boy I am tired of being frustrated. Anyways..rant is over TY for anyone who reads and understands and maybe can let me know if they have "fixed" their problem.

Yes it does..I had a feeling I may have waited too long to cut..I will try cutting a little sooner next time...when I made the chunx..the wax stuck to the knife so it was too soon..lol I will have to time everything and keep in my notes. I just started so I haven't gotten very far with it yet. I am out of wax and will be gone for a bit so when I get back..test..test..test i shall do! Thanks again!

The C3 released great it's just when I cut the chunks it started to crumble from the inside.. 4786..I will have to get some wax samples) I want to make molded melts but the C3 frosts in the silicone mold bad..I prefer the hard paraffin wax anyways so i will be playing for a while. Going on vacay for a couple weeks first..then test..test..test! TY all for your responses!

I wish I had taken a picture..it was beautiful I made the Serendipity chunks medium red/pink then the overpour ICSB was white..it looked perfect until I cut them..the middle crumbled..think I may need to add some softer wax? I just got some 4627..so next time I try the chunx I will add a little to see. Thanks for the reply..

I did try it..I didn't whip my wax though..I used a jelly roll pan I bought just for this project and made Serendipity. Let set..cut into the size chunks I wanted. Then I poured cooled wax with Ice Cream Scoop Bread over it using a disposable baking deep dish tin. Let set overnight..took out of the tin...scored it and cut..but..it crumbled and didn't stay together like it should. I could use some help as to what to add to the wax. I am using C3. TIA!

I have also noticed alot of chandlers are using licensed cartoons ( like Batman..Hello Kitty..etc..) for molds and stuff. Yikes!

I have been looking for a mold for those too..the closest I came was a breadstick mold search..but the molds that came up looked like corn..there were a couple molds that looked like those but they are cast iron. If you see anything update us.

I did a few craft fairs and Sugar Cookie(CS) and Mistletoe(CS) both sold out! Oreo(Aztec) came in second then Winter Spice (JS) was third. These were melts also not candles.

I personally have had bad luck with JS's Coconut Lime Verbena having a fuel scent. I called but she decided not to do anything about it because no one else had complained about it. (this was not recently). So I decided to buy another one from her...same thing..no go..I am stuck with 2 pounds of CLV. I decided a couple of weeks ago to make a few candles with it and just let them sit for a while and cure. I sniffed them yesterday..and no more fuel smell, but that was CT..now to burn them and see if it is there. I since then had purchased some from NG..haven't put it in wax yet.

I ordered from Aztec for the first time a few month's ago..and I have had very good luck with them in C3 soy wax. Their Oreo is awesome and strong! Their Leaves Type is amazing too! I like them alot. I have used other's I can't think off the top of my head at the moment. lol As far as mixing..I just started dabbling with it too. I didn't realize you mix the fo's in a bottle together. I was mixing as I went. so far so good though. I love this board..I learn something new all the time!

I have had pretty good luck with JS's Marshmallow Madness. It mixes well too!
