  1. Chestnuts and Brown Sugar?? I have used Millcreeks but have heard great reviews on JS's. I want to order some of JS's NEW Red Mac Apple (I think it is called) and need some Chestnuts & Brown Sugar for an order but have only tried Millcreeks. Hate ordering one oil from each place! Shipping kills ya on one item! Also does anyone know if they "smell" similar?
  2. I rename a lot of scents and blend a few and name them too. Scented started a thread awhile back with names and what scent would go with that name....I do that with a lot of mine for the different Holidays especially. One of my most favorite Christmas Memories is that my Granny and Mom (both gone now) always made Anise Rock Candy. So this year I recreated the "smell" of the Anise Rock Candy they always made and call it Old Fashioned Anise Rock Candy. My sister and I both make their Anise Rock Candy but I thought it would be so neat to have it in a candle and smell it all through the Holidays instead of just when we made the candy itself!! My brother and sister are both getting these candles for Christmas. I have one Christmas scent that didn't do that great....changed the name and now it flies off the shelf. The name sells it! Candy Cane doesn't sell that well...but rename it Snowstorm or Icicles or Blizzard or something like that and it goes like crazy! As far as a signature scent....we have Prairie Harvest. Smells just like Harvest time on the prairie.
  3. I ordered a pound of it but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Their pics look promising!
  4. The only thing I have seen recently is these: Southern Soapers carries them. I ordered in 1 to take a look at and they are very nice.....8oz but look like 16 because of the double wall. The only thing I didn't like was the snap lid doesn't seem really secure but does come with a liner and I suppose once they open it it doesn't have to be super secure. Oh and BTW...Southern Soapers has become my new favorite supplier. Their Sandalwood Amber is TDF!! And usually I don't like sandalwood....it also soaped like a dream!
  5. I have been trying to figure out something for my sales rep also.....and haven't come up with much yet. Maybe memory foam would be an idea of sorts so you can change the display around?? Anyway will be watching this thread to see if anyone else has any good ideas as I have racked my brain trying to come up with something also.
  6. We charge sales tax on shipping in the State of South Dakota. But next door in Wyoming....their freight is not taxable. Where I worked we had sales tax licenses for both states and it was a Pita...LOL My business I only charge in state sales tax as I only have the SD tax license and our freight (shipping) is taxable.
  7. Yep...I use 1 TBS per pound also.
  8. I love his molds! Don't have the divider one yet but have 4 of his other molds. My favorite is the huge triple log!! Also have his cutter and beveler...love the cutter and never use the beveler as I don't bevel anymore..LOL
  9. Has anyone tested the following Angel Old Fashioned Sugar Cookie Mocha Cappuccino Peach Cobbler Red Delicious Apple Apple Orchard I am using a parasoy blend I am burning the Vanilla Latte' right now...OMG I love that one! Mandarin Clove has a great cold throw but haven't burned it yet.
  10. Basically yes...only MUCH better! I started using the 4627 which is a PITA to handle but with this I add the entire 25# at one time...just slit the bag down the sides, peel it off, dump it in upside down and peel the rest of the bag off the bottom...easy peasy! I am buying another one to have full of my soy wax. With my presto pots I was forever standing around waiting for more wax to melt...this really cuts down the pouring time!
  11. Very NICE!! I ordered a couple of these jars with my last order...to check them out...and I LOVE them! Yea they are spendy but the ideas for uses keep popping into my head! Love your idea! And really love the jars!
  12. WOW..I signed up yesterday afternoon and had mine in my email this morning. Did you check your spam file??
  13. Do the kits from Colonial Tin include the mason jar? Anyone ever order these from them and know?? I saw these in the Country Sampler Magazine and loved them! I am going to order some in...mainly for Christmas Gifts and am not real sure what is all included in the kit? TIA!!
  14. Sorry...not candles but CP'd it also and it is as Grumpy says... Freakin Awesome!!
  15. Anyone familiar with the Men's scent called Tuscan or Tuscany....can't remember which one. And if so does anyone carry a dead on dupe for it. I have a request for it and I haven't seen it or smelled it....but she claims it is TDF! Anyway would like to find it..........TIA!!
  16. I use Dans Bands from MMS. They are perfect. They also sell the standard size soap bans too.
  17. I use this one in my tallow soap and have found if my oils are a tad warmer and my lye sol room temp I have more time. All of the tallow soap I make is that way...for some reason if my oils are too cool it moves major fast! I can definately detect the Rose in there after a full cure. I was going for dark pink and cocoa brown swirls in mine using Celestial Colors and ended up with a dark red-berry and deep deep purple instead.
  18. I just received a sample of that FO this week and have only smelled it oob. I am going to put it into some wax this week .... I am not sure i like it but want to see how it does in wax. I also got their Amber Sandalwood and soaped that today...OMG is that NICE!!!
  19. BCS Pumpkin Cheesecake in the dining room, Hot Chocolate/Candy Cane chunk candle in the living room, eggnog in my bathroom and flannel sheets in the loft bedroom. YUM!!
  20. Earthy is one of mine...and sandalwood and similar are under earthy
  21. Yep what Chris said......occasionally get a scent that doesn't stick. That goes in the family basket....LOL Recently had one that would knock your socks off it was smelled soooooooo good and soooooo strong.....it was a tester batch that I let sit on the curing rack for 5-6 months. Picked it up one day to sniff and nothing...big disappointment!
  22. BCN Cookies For Santa is one of my favorites...and a good seller for me.
