As far as the Soy issue and prices...I come from a farming background and my dad sold his beans this year for about triple what they have been in the past. My FIL also sold his beans for about triple. $10+ a bushel for beans has pretty much been unheard of. With that being said i think the price of Soy Wax is going to increase tremendously over the next 12 months! With the huge increase of the raw product plus the inflated gas prices the manufacturers and going to be paying through the nose......and that of course will trickle right down to us.

Has anyone soaped this? I have a 2oz sample but haven't soaped it yet and was wondering how well it sticks in CP soap? Love it OOB and it is on sale right now and if it sticks in soap I would like to order more. Checked the sticky but none of Wildfires FO's are listed...their Warm Vanilla Sugar is TDF in soap!

Anyone know what is going on?? She isn't answering emails either. I know there was a family emergency before Christmas but when I talked to her through emails around Christmas I was under the impression that was over. I was also under the impression my product was being shipped right after Christmas. I see others are in dire need of some of her products also..... Thought I would check if anyone had heard from her and could shed some light.

Southern Soapers Sandalwood Amber...OMG it is so earthy and sensual!! Anything with Amber in it is now my favorite...I can't get enough AMBER...LOL AmberMoon from Backwoods is good too but turns the soap a dark dark dark brown! Going to retry it and add vanilla stablizer to it and see what happens.

Not much help here but would also like to know. I have posted the question before and didn't get a response on this part of it. I know there are several but don't know who they are and who would be the best.

I have a soaping kitchen downstairs so I mix mine in the sink down there and then let it sit until I use it. I have started masterbatching mine in 3 gallon containers that have lock lids. No little kids around here anymore and usually just me and the dogs home..LOL

Mine faded some. You can still smell it but not near as strong as when it first started curing. Mine has been on the rack for about 3 months.

Looks very nice!! Black Irish faded for me too I love the scent but wish it would stick around in the soap. I have Wild Rose from Backwoods curing right now and even tho I am not a rose scent lover I do like this one....I am hoping it sticks!

Well mine definately discolored to a yellowish tan color....and my cornflower blue mica is a aqua/greeny/bluey something or another. Does smell heavenly tho! This was just a tester batch to see how it behaved and how the scent blossomed in CP. Not the prettiest soap on the rack but will work great in my shower...LOL

Thanks E! Mine turned a yellowish color...well it is still in the mold but has a yellow hue. I tried to swirl it with cornflower blue mica and that at the moment is a aqua greenish blue. I'll have to wait and take a look at it when I unmold it.

discolor in CP soap?? I soaped it today and it looks a little fugly. Yea I know....should of asked BEFORE I soaped it...LOL Anyway her site isn't up anymore so couldn't check any notes there.

Thanks Donna! Did the Lemongrass EO stick well? I have thought about buying the EO and trying that but afraid it will lose it's scent. I haven't worked with EO's in soap much at all but have that on my to do list this year.

Peaks does have one....it is Sage & Lemongrass. Has anyone soaped this one?? I don't think I have ever soaped it...but used it in other things.

AND stick really well in CP soap. The one I have instantly seizes! Anyone have a favorite that they use in soaping?? I could of swore that Peaks had one that I use to use.....but I couldn't find it on their site??? Of course I could be wrong on that too. Any suggestions?

I made soap yesterday using a Lemongrass FO. I always add my fragrance to my oils ... so when I added the lye it went from liquid to solid in 3 seconds. Holy crap...first time I have seen that happen. Anyway I threw it on a super low burner on the stove and proceeded to heat it and cook it down to a transparent looking glob of mashed potatoes. I then poured it into a mold. Since this has never happened before and I have never done this before....would that be similar to HP? OR more like rebatch...LOL
