  1. Yea that is too bad because I just loved this scent and it was so so strong at first. I thought it was my sniffer at first but have picked it up several times in the past couple days and Nope...no scent left. Hadn't tried it in anything but soap....but now I know not to. Thanks for your input Carole and Carol!
  2. I ordered in a 25# sample of this from Peaks and started pouring testers. WOW...I am impressed with this wax. After batteling Soy, Soy Blends and what have you I was ready to pull my hair out. Started on the Fall scents...was getting zero hot throw on more then I was getting any throw at all on.....the wicks that worked last year were NOT working this year and honestly I was ready to throw in the towel. This stuff is soooooooo easy!! I poured everything so far with CD wicks.....beautiful steady flame, perfect burn, no smoking, and the scent throw....out of this world!!! I have one FO that I have tried 9 different sizes and kinds of wick in and they either tunneled, would drown out half way through the jar, no hot throw.....yadda yadda. Well I poured it using this wax and it is burning perfectly...absolutely PERFECT!! And I can smell it all over the house! Yea it may be messy and sticky but well worth it with the way it burns and throws!
  3. I made some CP soap using this FO about 4-5 months ago. It was so strong it would just about knock you off your feet! I loved the smell. Anyway it has been sitting on the curing rack (just made a small 3# batch to test it out) Was moving soaps around last night and getting them wrapped for a show I have coming up. I picked up a bar of the Lime Crystal Kisses to sniff and NOTHING! Nada.....no scent at all! WOW....anyone else have this happen?? Good thing it was just a test batch and I had not wrapped and sold any....would be real embarassing to have someone say...Umm my soap doesn't smell anymore! :embarasse
  4. Thanks kandlekrazy....I have been looking for some to test and was having no luck finding any. West Coast isn't a problem as I sit in the middle out here...LOL I ordered a few of their 5# bags just to play around with.
  5. I think they look Marvolous!! I have no luck with micas...oxides work better for me. But I lovelovelove Celestial colors .... my colors are so vibrant now! I have SS too and use them on occasion but definately prefer the Celestial ones.
  6. DITTO!! I prefer the Celestial Colors tho...lovelovelove them!!
  7. Let me know if you find one...I am also looking for one. I need one that holds strong in CP soap and doesn't discolor to a dark brown! As soon as my 1# tester mold comes in from TOG I will be testing Bittercreeks and Backwoods...but Backwoods does say it discolors.
  8. Looks Great! Solas's Sandalwood Rose moves very fast for me!
  9. Well I didn't say I would SELL them....but I would have washed them up knowing it was water from the wash machine and not the sewer. And of course it would also depend on if they floated around in the water for awhile...if they had then I would have tossed them.
  10. I use them in CP....and love them!! I also have Select Shades but definately prefer the Celestial Colors!
  11. I would definately wash them up and put them on a rack to dry. I wash my soaps all the time to give them a really nice shine!
  12. You know I have no idea what is actually in this stuff......they buy a concentrted bottle of it and mix X amount with water i think. I don't pay attention because the mere thought of hunting bugs me so I ignore thier hunting escapades. I would never use it in soap! But I know there are several different essential oils and botanicals that work for masking the human scent....which I guess is also important in the hunting world :rolleyes2 . I am the opposite...I have deer in my yard all the time and I feed them. No one (including hubby and sons) are allowed to hunt on our land. And when they hunt and bring home their deer they have to keep them totally out of my site.....they hang them in their shop and I never see them. Would break my heart....just can't do that. But I love their magnificant beauty as they walk through my yard and stop to eat.
  13. I agree with you 100%.....a Hunter I am NOT!
  14. He ran out yesterday too and I PM'd him on the board here and he added more.
  15. Well the soap only lessens the human smell...so it doesn't overpower the other gawd awful smell they spray on!
  16. Well you have to be a serious serious hunter. First you shower with a soap that lessens human smell...then you rub a concoction of some gawd awful stuff on you (your clothes) that smells like Doe Pee...........but again to do all this you have to be a very serious hunter...LOL! And yes I am surrounded by "serious" hunters! Oh and I almost forgot ...you also have to have a spray bottle of this Doe Pee concoction to spray around your tree stand if you use a tree stand.
  17. Ordered my log cutter this morning and noticed he had a new 1# test batch mold.....which I have been looking for!!! So threw that in my cart also...can't wait to get that little beauty!! That will make me the proud owner of 4 of TOG's molds and now the cutter....LOL If you do large batches his triple log is awsome!!
  18. That one sounds good too! I went and checked my samples because I thought I had that one too.....but I have the Lavender Apples & Oak...which I love also! What supplier carries a good Apples & Oak for a soy blend? Thanks for your idea!
  19. There is a picture of it on his site....saw it the other day when I was window shopping...LOL Etsy :: TOG Soapmaking Tools.
  20. I just read the descrition on winter blast and that sounds perfect. So I went downstairs and dug through my FO's and I even have a 2oz'er of this one so definately going to try that one today! Also have a sample of Ocean and smelled that one and thinking that will also go really well with Apples! Found a couple others while going through all my samples that just might work also. Thanks you guys!!!
  21. It must be the year for probs. A few of my fall scents that I am doing again this year are NOT working like they did last year. I use Eco wicks and they are drowning out (or tunneling) more then they are actually working. I have been using some CD's and having better luck with them. I have one FO that I am pulling my hair out over....I have tried 8 different wicks and none have worked ...they either drown out or are too hot! If this wasn't my best seller last year I would toss it...LOL
