tlc26
Well you be sure to let me know when you are close to WSP because you will only be 20-30 miles from my place............so what will you take 70 east most of the way? You know that WSP will be waaay out of your way? I'm talking like about 2 hours each way........ well I guess it depends on where you are leaving from.... Chicago would be a bit out of the way too but if you are going to go that way WSP would be almost on the way.....We need to chat!!!Remind me to tell you guys a story about me and Willie Nelson.Oh, Abbie what ended up happening with Marilyn at OBN? Anyword? Edited May 14, 2010 by tlc26
Abbiepql
Either she or a rep is suppose to attend to demo their new creation, but I need to call her back for details cuz when we last talked they were getting ready to go to the guild conference in CO. As soon as I speak to her I will let you know.
Scented
What's she doing? Tab, I'm actually looking at 36 across for a straighter shot, BUT ... it's May ... I haven't planned a thing except to look at a tire and think I might want to get a new one, which really means two new ones ... sigh. I'll never save enough cash ha! Scented
Yea... the ability to pick up supplies when you don't have them locally is worth the road trip for sure - especially for heavy stuff, that is why we love Tabatha so much for picking stuff up for us! Cept she's banned from there isn't she? I just figure a good drive will be fine ... till I have to come back, but I've booked myself for about eight or nine days off, counting that weekend. I should have quite a bit of vacation time with enough left over to do my usual break between Christmas and New Year's.
tlc26
I might be banned from WSP but I am not from OBN and NG!!! I guess I will skip doing the prebuy from OBN then...right Abbie? Thier rep can bring thier orders to the gathering
asheebeans
Ooooh, you guys are going to be blown away by OBN's new creation! I haven't played with it yet but bought it to try.

pamperme
Hey All!Been a while.. Is this thing really in Washington, PA ...near Pittsburgh? I just moved back home after a divorce and am only 45 min from there. I would love to attend. Never been to one of these and getting back in the swing of things. Miss making stuff and need to catch up and find a new wax supplier and buy ALL new supplies. Already have old customers wanting to order candles but I need to find a replacement wax for Keystones soy blend and retest...whole other story. Anyway...I should be able to attend since it is so close and I am with a guy who actually lets me live my life. What all goes on in there? Other than the singing, drinking and partying

hiacyntheab
I know I'm not in the right place but I need some help with soap making. I am trying to test my soap for a ph balance.I'm using Phenolphthalein. I was told that it should turn pink is this correct. everything I have read says that it should stay clear. Can anyone clear this up. When I tested my soap after 12 hours the drop that I put on the soap was clear. Maybe I'm not doing it right.HELPLiz

asheebeans
OK what is it? No fair on a comment like that lol! It's a really cool new time-saving product. Check out their site....I don't want to give the secret away if that is part of their demo or something! :tiptoe:
Kimberly
OMG...it is less than 2 months away!!! I am so pumped! If any of you have not registered yet, do so! You will not be sorry you attended. This gathering is so much fun. I still say the best part is the networking with other crafters and meeting people from the boards. Yes we do have fun at night, but that is purely optional. And no, not everyone who attends the festivities after business drinks. I, personally, do not drink a lot. So, if some of you are worried about it being a drunken brawl, please put that out of your mind...it is nothing like that. Please everyone....Do not forget about the Yankee Swap. It is a lot of fun and again, optional. Look at the website for details. Cant wait to see everyone!!!!!!!!!!
Scented
Scented...I think there is info on OBN´s new product on their website, looks pretty cool, I might have to try it before the gathering! So did I miss it or is it the oil combinations for soap?
Abbiepql
It looks like master batching oils to me...premixed and calculated. I really like the idea, would save me mucho space and having one product to buy versus the combo I do now would be nice, have to check out the finished product first. Abbiepql
I forgot to sign up for the Yankee swap...That was a blast last year, I got candles and soap and an awesome mitt for handling hot stuff - Loved it! That combined with the door prize, goodie bags, hands on demo (I got a sugar scrub cube and rolled beeswax candle) and gathering swap...was like Christmas! Plus I was gifted by my pals with supreme goodies, which was totally unexpected, Kimberly/, Nancy, Cheryl , Tabatha & Julie! This year with extras planned for Friday night...can´t wait...SO FUN! Plus I need some networking - motivational ME time with my pals and fellow artisans...I always leave there psyched up and ready to ramp up my biz with new ideas and renewed commitment! NancyT
Now that I know our item doesn't have to be candle or bath & both related (I didn't know that last year til we did the swap), I know what I'm going to make. It won't be a magic hat, but I think you'll like it. Scented, you might even try to steal it!!!!!! LOL You could wrap it around you, with your hat on and look like a million bucks.............. However, I'm sure we'd be bailing you out of the looney bin before the night was over............
JacquiO
Do you have to sign up in advance for the Yankee swap?

NancyT
Hey Kim, sorry I kind of let the cat out of the bag.......I think if you rig the number for Julie, it will give others a fair chance. LOL hhhmmmmm, I may just have to add a little something extra just for you...... our "swap mistress":yay:Just wanted to remind everyone: ONLY 6 MORE WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay::yay::yay:For those that have not been yet, you really need to get your room reservation made. This is a very nice hotel and they have wedding receptions on the weekends which fills up their rooms in a hurry. We don't want anyone to miss out because they can't get a room.
