  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! do you have a website? I love The Green Man ......
  2. I wouldn't buy that kit even as a beginner. Get some 2 pound trays of soap base, some body safe colorant and FO. you don't need pipettes and a hairnet to start out.
  3. Natures Garden Pre-Buy info posted on the Facebook Group. Soon to be posted on the forum and the website! Oh and NG is letting me bring samples of all their fragrance oils for you to sniff!!! how awesome is that!!!! Debbie, you rock!!!!
  4. Peaks BRV. I am seeing a surge in this FO candles and b&b Did this for the Mu-mah for Momma's Day
  5. SO I won't be able to use the free e-class certificate that I won at the gathering from The Nova Studio. I was thinking of doing a giveaway on here or maybe my youtube channel... what do you guys think? How should I do it?
  6. I love my Cannon too. Scanner, printer, copier. Pretty good on ink (inkjet) I think it was $39 at Walmart a few years back, not sure what it is now. For the laser, I can say that I had a ton of trouble with the Brother(s) color and black only. The black only gave lots of problems with not printing evenly.
  7. I started with 3 pound batches and still do them. But moved on to doing smaller batches to play with new colors and fragrances and such. I was more worried about calculations being off on small batches but I was afraid of doing 4 and 5 pound batches in case the soap traced to fast on me. I though that a lot of soap would have been to much for me to handle if it got away from me. So I guess what I am saying is stay in the middle, 2-3 pound batches maybe. Weigh your pros and cons and options and jump in. You will be fine. Its fun!
  8. Lemon Verbena!! love love love! so strong! no disc or acceleration.
  9. Happened to me too. Mine was available for 6+ years and my dumb a$$ never bought it. Now some blogger bought it, only for a year though. So I am hoping she lets it expire and forgets about it so that I can buy it up in the fall.
  10. I also wanted to ask if someone is already scheduled to pick up the sniffing bottles on loan from NG... if not, I am fairly close and it would be on my way there... If you need me to pick those up let me know.
  11. Oh come on! you know you wanna come with me!!! It is less than an hour from me. I got off work. I am headed off to the site to go pay my registration.
  12. you can use them for mp! woot woot! Darn, I wish I had a Hobby Lobby close, I'll have to check Pat Catan's. Been wanting some of the flower cupcake molds happy soaping to you
  13. SO glad I came back to look for cut pics! beautiful!!! just beautiful!
  14. Strawberry and raspberry morphed on me too. But why pull or quit making all the pops? Why not just reformulate the 2 that gave trouble? ... I second all the "rumors" unstable, no longer manufactured and testing new ones.... oh please hurry. I struggled with purple except for the pop mica. Celestial morphed, Peacock morphed. NG (old) liquids greyed. I have select shades but I've never used them.... I have found that the old NG liquid purple and burgandy did stick in whipped (floating soap) no morphing, no greying. Haven't tried thier new ones yet. I have some light, almost lilac colored powder colorant (not sure if it is an oxide or pigment or what) but it was from WSP from ages ago. That works. Now wondering if I could darken it with a tiny tiny bit of charcoal..... Otherwise I am hanging on to my stash of grape pop for dear life, hoping that testing goes well and fast for the new ones. I like Peaks FO but it is more medicinal and not floral, to me. A pretty soft blend that is a big hit is the lavendar vanilla by sockmonkey that I got from her before she got the boot
  15. NNK- thanks so much for clearing that up for me.... yay! No I can go get one on ebay! Oh and I think I remember you from way back in the day... didn't you post pictures of soaps like the ones in your profile pic (or maybe those are the soaps you posted) Anyway I remember how much I loved loved the color and to this day those are some of my favorite soaps ever seen! Chandlerwicks, Candybee, and Chuck_35550 - I am checking out the walmart website and the only one I can find that is $29 is the one with the clear plastic end... is that the right one? I think I want the plastic end (my bowls are scratched up now) tlc- i was actually using mine to make a scrub-- figured most/more people on this board use thiers for soaping so I stuck the thread in the soaping section. Chuck gave ya good advice and yes you will want a stick blender.... one of the best tools since the screwdriver... I swear by mine!
  16. I don't weigh either. I snip a 1/2 to 1 inch piece depending on the size of my batch. It came in long threads. It works out to be about a cotton ball size....
  17. thanks for the link! keep up the good work!
  18. I recall now. This is the one that was usually held in Strongsville, which is not even 10 minutes for me. I meant to go the few times I knew about it but then wouldn't catch it until it was to late for me to get off work, or whatever the situation was.... Care Bear, where are you?
  19. I digt it!! point me to a tut...? please
