LOLI don't think the creator of the magic hat and Freebird fame will be joining us this year - she will be so missed. I really wanted to get in on the Freebird fun this year!We still have seats in need of filling, so any of those on here that were thinking about joining us - register or let me know, the hotel block is almost full and the discount expires in a couple of weeks, they are expecting a full house that weekend. Now I'm down to crossing my fingers that I'm going to get to come that way. My plans are still to do so, but if things keep going wrong, it may not happen.And see ... I'm just trying to figure out logistics as far as hotel, expenses, how far from me it is, etc. Yes, I would probably be bringing Ashley with me! It's like our yearly tradition now, she hangs out with momma at the soap/candle gathering! LOL Off to peruse the site more.......:tiptoe:ETA: I just expedia'd it and the hotel is 2 1/2 hrs from me! Not completely horrible. I think I would probably stay overnight Friday and go home Saturday after the gathering. Just have to check on the $$$ situation! Currently everything is dying on me and eating my reserve cash flow so that's putting a damper on things ... I'm still sitting on the fence, waiting to see how it all pans out. In the meantime it's hotter than hell here and I am trying to survive through the weekend to see what my landlady does about replacing an A/C that conked. That's my "big" expense behind car stuff at the moment ... so I"m not saying anything more just yet. Believe me, I'm working on getting to go. I sooooooooo need a vacation and an "East" fix lol. I only have an interest for 20-25 pounds of lye.......this is not enough for me to press my supplier. I will have to come up with half that $500 minimum in order to place the order. If there are attendees out there holding back.... I need to know of interest so that I can figure if I can make this work. The only way I can see to come close is to add citric acid to the order. Are there any gathering attendees that may be interested in citric acid??? I am not sure on a price yet but I am thinking $3 a pound roughly maybe less, I'm just not sure......I need a better guage of how much so I can determine if I will be close enough to press the issue.
