I was not there for the Freebird appearance, but I heard about it the next morning. I think someone there could elaborate more! LOL I am looking forward to seeing everyone too and some new peeps would be nice, we need new friends to join us!

It's kinda like that Vegas commercial :laugh2:

I can add that one needed to be up in the wee a.m. hours and outside. Fresh air, alcohol, good times, great people ... that may not be vague enough lol.

Kim, I'm also looking forward to hearing you sing for us again!!!!! You did a great job!!!!! Not sure what I'll bring for the yankee swap but I'm sure it won't surpass the magic hat from last year!!!!!!!!!! What cha bringing this year Birdie????????

Everyone bring lighters for Kim and Tab on that stage!!! :yay:

Birdie's bringing more magic lol! I'd ask for socks to go with that hat, but then they'd get stolen.

Kim and Tabatha were so good, it was more like watching a variety show than Karoke. I am never falling asleep early again with you ladies, you had WAY too much fun without me and I had to hear about it second hand. Dee it would be nice to see you - broker that deal with your hubby now.

I'm not sure about bringing the lighters!!!!! With all the alcohol that was being consumed that night, I'm afraid I'd burn myself :laugh2::laugh2::laugh2: It was a fun night and Abbie you were certainly missed.......you're right....no early bedtime for you this year!!!!!!!!

This is coming up fast! My time off work is all set. I can't wait!!!

Hey Abbie, I just split 50lbs of lye and it about did me in. I am hoping to get a gage of how much lye I will have to do, so that I can get a head start on it this year. Mind posting it for me?

Lori-You got it girlie! 15# for you.

Abbie-

I don't see where to find the old posts from last year, or I would have reviewed and posted them myself.

Basically the same rules as last year, I do believe.

The lye comes from me, personally. I pick it up in 50 lb bags from my chemical supplier that I have worked with for over 10 years now. I split it myself. It will be double bagged in 5 lb increments. They can pay cash at the gathering or they can prepay paypal as a gift so there are no fees attached. Preferred payment option is cash on delivery at the gathering. The cost is still $1 per pound, so cost for one bag will be $5. I would like to place a limit this year of up to 20 pounds or 4 bags per purchaser, I may make exceptions for this if there is need. The exception would be I would allow a purchase of a full 50 lb bag.

All purchasers will be responsible for printing thier own MSDS sheets to have on hand while traveling with the caustic soda. Here is the link.....

I think that is all for now!

The rules for the pick ups from NG and OBN will be the same rules. I have not contacted them yet to confirm the phrase that will need to be entered into the special comments so that the order will be held for me to pick up. I will attempt to call both places later today and get that for you. If you like I can type up the 'offical prebuy rules' like I did last year, or youare welcome to use last years post if you still have access to it!

I posted on the FB page an RSVP - so we could an idea of numbers, we have a lot of stuff planned! I know many wait until closer to the event to register, but a better idea of numbers would sure make planning easier, we had a good amount of early registrations many returning, some new peeps - It´s gonna be GREAT FUN, especially with the new Friday night actvities - can´t wait! The site is being updated today with co-ops, pre-buys and new happenings.

Yeah, I have been asking Christy to come for how many years? LOL I think she would have a great time too!

Lori - did you see that TLC is checking into citric acid? I can't remember where she posted it, she is the co-op / pre-buy queen!

My friend Pauline and I are really interested in attending. Apart from the registration fee are there extra fees for the workshop and demos as well or is the $45 all inclusive of everything?

AFAIK it's all inclusive.however you may want to take some extra if you are staying the weekend.

Last year, some of us went up to the casino and out to dinner Saturday night.

And breakfast, Sunday morning before we left.

:P I am planning to make this a go ;)

It would be nice to see you again, that meeting in MD seemed ages ago!

Lori´s right - everything is included and we feed you a nice lunch in the hotel on Saturday! There are lots of places around to eat - Friday night we are doing an informal/casual meet and great in the hotel with some fun/small demos, tips & tricks. We thought we´d all go in for ordering in pizza for those that wish to have it, bring you own soda/drink. That will be followed by our Yankee swap, if participating - which is voluntary.

The more the merrier, we´d love to have you!

Thank you!

We're still kinda debating. It's over a six-hour drive for us but we figured shared between two will make it more affordable. I definitely want to be there for the Friday night meet and greet but Saturday we'll probably hit the road back to NY. We live 20 minutes from the PA border (Pike County) but of course you guys have to be all the way on the other side of the state.

I just have a few more questions: How long is the Saturday event? About what time should it end?

How close are you to filling up? I don't want to wait too long to register and it be too late.

I love Yankee swaps. Will this one have the option of stealing?

Jacqui there are a few of us coming from more than 6 hours away. Hope you will decide to make the trip. It is loads of fun! Informative and a great networking weekend! I promise I won't steal your gift unless it was made by Birdie ... then we might have to negotiate lol.
