when I burn a candle on a warmer than when I lit the wick? I had a candle that I was testing....16oz jar and I burned the 1st half and trying the second half with the warmers. It had a good throw while burning but on the warmer it is outstanding. I live in two story house and it's everywhere.

What does the word "juried" mean when it is related to shows? I noticed some said yes and others no.

In this day and time, prices go up and quality and service goes down. Makes you wonder what the future holds.

I was thumbing thru my sample wick collection and I found some CF. I think these are Paramold samples. Does anyone know anything about this type wick? I have had these for a few years and just didn't notice them when I got all the samples.

I just have mine in the shop area on shelves where I make candles...still in the box...boxes standing on end which makes it easier to take slabs apart.

What do I need to do with it now? Would it work ok to just stick it in the oven and let it remelt? This is a new one for me. Glad to know that I'm not the only one it has happened to.

Has anyone ever had J223 not adhere to the jar at all? I was cleaning up some jars I had poured recently and I noticed one of them rattled. It was just like I had used votive wax in a jar....not stuck to jar anywhere.... you can shake jar and it moves up and down. I haven't poured votives in a while so I didn't get the wax mixed up. What could be the deal with this one little jar. J223..Butt Naked from WNW and poured 150-160 degrees. All the rest look fine. I have a freak candle!!

SNC is what I have now and it has a good scent throw. I used to do my own birthday cake but it was quite involved so I just get "ready made" now.

I'm not good at coming up with new scent names so I am asking for suggestions please. I bought Strudel and Spice from WNW but I don't really care for the name.

I was wondering what everyone thought was their best means of advertising...website....word of mouth....flyers.....brochures...shows? I am just starting out but I don't have that "salesman" personality or charm. Really, I guess I would go more with the "quiet and shy" so I mostly sell to co-workers, friends and family. I also don't have a website.

I have a small section of my husband's shop. I was extremely thrilled when my husband came home one day with 2 HUGE sections of metal/wire shelving that his employer had thrown in the dumpster.( I taught him that dumpster driving is very important in this day and time):rolleyes2 The shelves were adjustable so I have 3 very deep shelves on each section and they are about 6' long. My father had bought a huge stainless steel table from a resturant auction many years ago so after he passed away, I acquired it.(12'x 2 1/2'). I have a stove top but no oven and I hate that because I have to run into the kitchen and use my oven there. I'll replace with a real stove if/when it goes out. When organized, I have a section for everything. On days that I'm rushed, you can't tell where one part starts and the other ends. For people looking for shelving and tables, contact manufacturing business to see if they have any that they are getting rid of or would sell cheap. Where my husband works, they throw out perfectly good stuff because they don't want to make minor repairs and just replace it with new. It's just like Christmas when he brings a load of "junk" home. It's amazing and I love free stuff.

Are firestarters safe in fireplaces and woodstoves due to any build up you could get inside the flu(e)? I've never made them but would love to...always afraid it could aid in fire in the stove pipes.

I always poke relief holes in any thing over 10 oz. size. I burned one once that I hadn't and it burned straight down and then it was hollow. I am just afraid of this happening again.What am I doing wrong? I pour around 160.

I noticed that some of them have wet spots...I use J223. If it has pulled away from jar then stick in oven...melt down...and start over?

Last week I pour several 16 oz. mason jars. I poked the relief holes and forgot about them until I found them today. Can I just fill them or would I need to melt down and start over? Please advise. I think I need to slow my life down and pay attention to what I'm doing. TIA

I've used the grass smell from Aztec and it had a light, fresh smell to it. I added some peach, magnolia, raspberry with it and it smelled great...Kind of a summery...orchardy....grassy smell. Very nice. Try mixing with fruity or flowery smells. It may just smell bad OOB. Good luck.

Is root beer a good seller for anyone? I sniffed a candle somewhere over the weekend that was root beer and it smelled great. Just curious how it sells.
