  1. Old standby for searching. I wish it were updated though. Have it bookmarked and refer to it many times a month. Thanks for posting this I'm sure others will be very glad to use it.
  2. How are her Pumkin FOs? Any without spice notes? Lookn for a truer Fall pumpkin.
  3. Sounds good from the description. Let me know if it was a good one. Thanks.
  4. Ooh! If you get it, please let me know your thoughts! Please.
  5. Anyone come across a cornbread FO. Plain. Without fruit notes or spices? Just curious.
  6. All they seem to have is Aqua Di Gio which a few other suppliers carry as well. The Aqua di Sale is harder to find. No luck at NG. Thanks though.
  7. Thank you ProudMarineMom! I've tried that one before, but didn't care for it. This is for a customer so I'll be ordering again to see what they think. Thank you.
  8. Any suppliers out there have a dupe of Acqua di Sale?
  9. My favorite Hazelnut is from SOS. I get it in Ultra. It's very strong. An exact dupe to freshly ground hazelnuts. Almost coffee like. It's not sweet at all. It would make a great base note. For the traditional sweet "homey" Hazelnut scent it can be mixed 1 part to 3 parts French Vanilla FO or 50/50 with a Maple FO. It's such a universal fragrance and easily the strongest Hazelnut FO I've ever come across.
  10. This is true. At least to my nose. I can see a black coffee FO working well in place of a true musk accord for certain blends. I might try this at a later date. I'll give Peak's FBC a try. Thanks.
  11. That's all I need to hear! ORDERED.
  12. Does anyone else get that full on Skunky smell from Coffee FOs? It could just be how I perceive them, but most of the coffee FOs I've tried smell very animalic skunky! Any good black coffee FOs?
  13. What OldGlory said. Also may explore adding an additive or two to help "develop" and meld the blend. Could be the blend is too heavy-handed with Vanilla. As for those additives... Any fixative solvent such as DPM (Dowanol) or ISO E-Super in trace amounts will help. DPM is especially useful on Cinamon and Vanilla FOs.
  14. TRUE rain smell will send you on a never ending quest. The smell of rain is subjective. The environmental particulates the water droplets pick up -- and how they react when falling on hot pavement, soil, etc will create different smells to different people. I'd reccomend a leather FO possibly paired with an earth/soil fragrance. As for the metallic aspect might try exploring Salty Mariner in trace amount. For the dryness maybe a hint of vanilla or sandalwood. I see some experimenting in your future. Whatever you decide... best of luck.
  15. Does their Fall Leaves FO compare to other supplier versions? I've only tried FBs and found it to be a little weak. Just curious.
  16. tried to reply but your PM box is full. Not sure why they'd need a tax id number to replicate an FO, but you should be able to give then your EIN or FEIN number you aquired with the IRS when you applied for your business license. If you haveen't already done that, you can request just an EIN. Try that. If that doesn't work. You might be out of luck. Just out of curiousity, which manufacturer did you go to and what minimum did you have to purchase in order to have your fragrance replicated?
  17. I use Dianthus from SOS. It's essentially "Carnation" but with a dirty more masculine edge. It's somewhat spicy but it can be tamed and made more well-rounded with a bit of Baby Powder FO. A good alternative to Carnation. They also carry Carnation should you want to try that one as well.
  18. I should be ashamed for not giving CCS a try. They're only 2 hours away from me, shipping would be so freaking fast. :slaps forehead: Duh!
  19. 1: Save on Scents ( for food types + novelty FOs) 2. Peaks ( for best sellers, classic scents + perfume dupes) 3. BCS+BCN joint companies (for homey scent and best value) * runner up would be CandleScience.
  20. Mail the candle to Save on Scents headquarters and they'll dupe it if they deam it unique enough. Always worth a try! Sounds like a great "true to nature" ocean scent. I could use one of those. Good ocean fragrances are few and far between. Good Luck. Having the scent replicated might be your only option if you dont find a comparable FO.
  21. Are there any suppliers/manufacturers that will duplicate a fragrance oil AND convert it to a water-soluble fragrance? Does anyone know where to purchase water-based fragrances? Lastly, other than Polysorbate 20,60 or 80 are there any other surfactant/emulsifiers that will make an FO water-soluble + clear? THANKS IN ADVANCE!
  22. Gaia sounds interesting to me. But, I'd never order an FO on a whim. If she offered a one-ouncer I'd gladly order it to sample.
