  1. Is that different than Candle Wics? Does it smell more musty earthy, spicy or fresh and crisp?
  2. Keep'em coming! Thanks Moon and ChandlerWicks...any others?
  3. Great! Thank you Chefmom, much appreciated. So far we have: CandleWic's Autumn Leaves Anyone else want to contribute? Where looking for Fall/Autumn leaf inspired fragrances. I figured with all the talk lately on gearing up for Fall sales; it'd be good to get this thread going with some leaf types. So many! SO so many. What's your favorite autumn leaf type?
  4. I've asked this before but never got anywhere. There has to be dozens of different Fall/Autumn blends designed to smell like or evoke the imagry of leaves either falling, stepped on, crushed, damp, etc. Of those...I've tried a so many I can't remember which ones I like and which I downright loathed. So, collectively, as a forum is there ANY way we can compare notes and list in this thread the many types of Leaf/Leaves fragrances, and the suppliers. It would greatly help me out (and I'm sure others). I can't for the life of me keep all of the leave fragrances straight in my head. Anyone care to contribute? Fall leaves: ---Go! 1) Name + Supplier 2) Description 3) Opinion TIA.
  5. Cool beans. I can't wait! I'll have to write some serious notes on each fragrance. That one in particular will be interesting because I had planned on using a cornbread FO in a fall blend so If this one's good... I'll be stoked! :smiley2:
  6. Hard to say. I was judging it on it's namesake, in hopes of it smelling like a cornbread. That being said I thought it could use more corniness(:rolleyes2) so I guess it wasn't as strong as I would have liked on the notes I was wanting -- but for you it might be good!? LOL. Its a mild corn sweetly smell. same CT and HT. Just OK.
  7. Its probably closer to corn pudding than cornbread. It's sweet that's fosho!
  8. Bitches Brew was pretty good, but I think it was reformulated. It's not nearly as good as it use to be. There are other Witchs Brew fragrances out there. I've heard good things about Fresh Fallen Leaves but haven't tried it.
  9. awesome. I look forward to your review!
  10. The description sounds good. I like the idea of buttermilk note added to the fragrance. Sounds more like a traditional cornbread vs a sweet muffin. I might like that one better. I'm not a NG fan so I'll likely not try it, but I'd be interested in hearing about it if anyone has tested it.
  11. Favorite scent is Patch... plain and simple but I like the more traditional incense types too. Anything earthy herbal. Close second is probably a Drakkar dupe.
  12. Smelled more cornmeal which I'm ok with. Still sweet though. I'd say it's about 85% Jiffy mix. It lacks the "dryness?" of Jiffy but it does smell like cornbread so I'm happy.
  13. I guess no one has ordered from them before?
  14. Does anyone on here order from AAA Candle Supply? I ask because I'm trying to communicate with them and both their phone and email seems to be useless and unresponsive. The website seems professional; but I don't think my email went thru. I just wanted to enquire about some of Taylored Concepts old oils. Anyone have a way to talk with them. Are they still in biz? Just wondering.
  15. For my blend, the creaminess comes from the avocado and pumpkin(pie). I think those FOs suggested, might just make it sweeter without adding that fatty cream aspect your looking for although I may be wrong. I'd lean more toward you using Creme Brulee over the corn pudding. Might try French Vanilla?
  16. OK so I finally figured out the formulary for MOST Zucchini Bread fragrance oils and it's really nothing more than: Pumpkin/Avacado/cucumber to Fresh Baked Bread... if you were to make your own.
  17. Alabaster use to have a Pumpkin Meadley that was nice.... Community Candles doesn't have it yet but I found a dupe at Scent It --haven't tried it. They also carry a Pumpkin(Pie type?) and Pumpkin Spice. Has anyone ordered from them?
  18. I too am on the quest for better pumpkin FO. Sorry that I don't have anything to contribute BUT I hope this thread gets answered. Wellington Fragrance company is said to be getting a newer Pumpkin FO in July so I'm anxious to try it once it gets added to their site. Any other recommendations? There was a Pumpkin Puree that someone had, but I think it was discontinued. All other Pumpkin FOs I've tried were either too heavy on the nutmeg and cinnamon or cloyingly sweet and unrealistic. Best of luck. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
  19. Anyone come across a good true Hay smell either in a Harvest fragrance or as a standalone fresh cut hay FO?
  20. Their Tobacco Bourbon sounds intriguing! Might have to try that one.
  21. Thanks for the info. I've put in an order!
  22. Cedarwood and Cucumber + Dirt (any type) + Rosemary = good cool foresty scent. If using Gaia try adding a little Orris either in the EO or FO. It imparts a musty dry violet smell that enhances it nicely. Lastly, for a damp forest smell try adding a little of SOS's new Mushroom to Oakmoss. It's awesome. Smells just like shittake alcohol and has a unique distinction of smelling cold, slightly metallic and very pungent earthy. a little goes a long way.
  23. wELL Crap. Looks like I'll be sampling another one from CS. I didn't care for NG's because I thought it wasn't heavy enough with the Chili. Here's hoping this one is full on spice!
