Anything that has water in it needs to have a preservative. I know some people who prefer more natural don't like that, but that's when you explain to them that the hazards of spraying mold, bacteria, etc in the air is FAR worse than the small 1% of preservative that is needed to protect their lungs!

For room spray my recipe is 4% FO, 4% poly-20, 1% germaben, and 95% distilled water. The poly will make the spray a milky color, so I use a cobalt blue bottle.

I usually use the calculator on WSP's site... They have a percentage to weight, and weight to percentage... you can put what your total batch will be and the % of each ingredient and it'll do the conversion for you. hth!

Sleep Time from WSP is sooooo amazing! It's a lavender and vanilla EO/FO mix. You can smell the lavender, but the vanilla sweetens it, not medicinal. My kids love spraying it on their pillows before bed. My youngest used to think it was magic "sleep" spray and he couldn't sleep without it. lol And.. it's on sale now until Tuesday. gotta love a sale! lol

I've been getting emails regarding this for quite a while from both WSP and HSMG. I think many people were hoping it would be shelved this year just like it did last year. Debbie had also sent emails regarding hiring someone to lobby for this. Annie are you not on wsp's mailing list? I am and that's how I received this information.

For less greasiness you can try FCO or jojoba. I also add a little bit of cyclo and also IPM to help cut the greasiness. Remember that it is a butter, so there will be no way to get rid of the greasies 100%. I ADORE using this after my shower!!! I've also made one with some cocoa butter, it does make it a bit firmer, and not so whippy so I just use the mango/shea mixture. To me this would be more of a winter product because it will most likely melt too easily in the summer heat. Most people I know won't ship it in the summer at all.

Here's a hint for the shark users... I put a few drops of FO on the inside of the pad. Than, when I'm steaming it makes it smell good! It REALLY works!

I use glycerin in my homemade body spray. Is yours homemade or a base?

I believe where I get mine says NOT to dye it... I agree with just purchasing colored ones instead.

Stainless steel is ok for CP soap. It's aluminum that has the reaction with the soap. I believe since MP has already been saponified that anything you use as a mold should be ok.

I don't know what I did wrong! This is only my 2nd batch and it does NOT look like the first one. It's not "liquidy" at all. The first time I made it it went through the stages of bubbling around the edges, than turned on itself. Right after cooking for only 15 mins it's like thick pudding. I'm freaking out! First time I cooked it for 2 hours.. eesh I don't kknow if this will be able to cook that long? Here's my recipe: Olive oil pomace - 8oz Coconut - 6.4 lard - 5.76 mango butter - 4.8 shea - 3.84 castor - 1.6 avocado - 1.6 12.16 oz water 4.4 lye Should I just let it keep cooking? I sure hope I didn't ruin this batch... lol Oh, I also added 2TBSP sodium lactate to water before adding lye. After cooking bout 40 mins it was sooo thick so I freaked out and did a zap test.. Oh crap, definately NOT done! Wonder if this batch is ruined

The sample bottle on their website looks like the ones from onlyfragrance also. The frosted bottle with the black cap. I'm not a fan of onlyfragrance and am glad I only ordered once before he up and left...

If it was BCN, than they recommend 1%, or 1oz per gallon.

Um.. I can't remember if I used just 1%? Look on their website and it will tell you.. I wanna say 1% off the top of my head.

If so do you like it? I've tried the one from NG and wasn't impressed; left a tacky/sticky after feel. Is this one ok? Thanks!

I got mine from BCN (prolly the same as BCS) Everyone who has used it LOVES it! There's NO sticky feel afterwards and doesn't dry my hands out. Holds scent wonderfully, and leaves it on the hands afterwards. Price is great too!

The only modifiers I've used are poly and the eo/fo modifier. I don't think FCO could be a modifier since it's an oil and the poly or modifier is needed to make the oil blend with the water. I have used FCO with my cyclo and FO to make a body spray, but never with water..
