  1. If you are looking at 20-25# a month you need to buy from the manufacturer not a reseller. I started buying a few pounds at a time from resellers, but for the cost difference I found I could just buy 10#. I have even moved up to 25# of some like sugar cookie/pumpkin spice because the cost went down to $8-9 a pound. The company I use the most is Aromatic Fragrances International in GA. They have 10# minimums and carry most BBW/Yankee scents. They even did a few duplications for me at no cost. I just thought I would share. It's nice to see that you are moving in the right direction.
  2. I saw this thread and decided to give an update. This is by far my favorite scent. Fragrancebuddy just sent me a promo code for 25% of my order with no minimum. <edited> so I bought 5 pounds of Pumpkin Pecan Waffle for $80.00. Then after code it was $60 with free shipping over $50 spent. They also just got in the amber blush by bbw. Thought I would share.....
  3. I just got my order in from fragrancebuddy and you are right this scent is great. Another winner added to my fall line up. Thanks for the info.
  4. Here is the update to my post: I will start with the duplications. I had them do duplications of Amish Harvest, Salted Caramel and Noel Christmas. These came out very close to the targets I sent and the throw in wax was really good. I was expecting these results as this was the reason I had them duped. I also got some samples of the following: Banana Nut Bread OOB good-cold throw not so good- very nice but more banana than bread- when I burned it the smell was better Blueberry Cobbler OOB super strong- cold throw good- very strong in burn Hollyberry OOB strong- cold throw good - burn ok but I don't like this type of fragrance Maple Sugar- OOB super strong- cold throw great- very strong in burn Oatmeal Raisin Cookie- OOB seems like no raisin - cold throw better- burn smells great Sugar Cookie-OOB very strong and spot on- cold throw in candle is super strong-when I burned this candle it blew my expectations away. I will be replacing my Sugar Cookie with this one for sure. Over all the fragrances that I had duped are good. The Sugar Cookie was amazing so I will be buying some fragrances from them.
  5. I had them do a few duplications for me and they came in a few days ago. They seem to be spot on OOB. I poured them yesterday in a few candles (I do use soy and some blends). I will post the results in the next few days but so far very pleased.
  6. I got the samples in of some of the Joe Malone types and love them OOB. The grapefruit is so nice I wanted to wear it as a perfume. The girl I talked with was Gina (I got her name this time) and the samples came in pretty quick. Just wanted to give an update on this post. Also they said they could duplicate some of my other fragrances but I would have to buy a minimum of 25#. I will let you know how they turn out. I sent in some Christmas scents for them to play with.
  7. I start with 1 ounce from the supplier and if I like the smell out of the bottle I test it. Usually 1-2# doesn't get me enough oil to test and make enough product for 6-7 stores. Then I usually screw that much up with my dyes. LOL...I buy 10# to try in all my products (tarts, jar candles, pillars, soap, bath balls) at several locations. Some fragrances do great on these trial runs and others not so much. I learned that a fragrance may sell great at one location but not at another. Also the time of year kills the deal.
  8. I'm not really a big poster on the site, but I do read it a lot. I was looking for another manufacturer because my old suppliers keep giving me price increases or lower quality oils. I like the fragrances that I buy but find that the fragrances are not good enough. A good example would be that I bought 10# of Warm Vanilla Sugar from Lebermuth and it had almost no throw in my wax blend. This makes you add more of the fragrance then normal to get the same throw you want. I bought 25# of Febreze from Chemessence it barely has an odor. I buy 25# of most of my fragrances and 10# of others to try. I'm lucky to have a few tourist spots that I can sell my products pretty easily but I also want repeat business. I found a new manufacturing company offering Joe Malone type. This had me a little excited. I contacted them and got a few samples. They seem to be a lot better than what I've seen lately but still a little pricey. The girl that answered the phone says they are working on opening a online store to help with ordering. Just though I would pass this on. They also don't have the larger minimums I've gotten from other places.
  9. I just saw the response about the sample ordering. If you buy 16 ounces of a fragrance it shows up in your shopping cart but the samples show up as 1 X 10 sample pack. When I check out I get a confirmation email and then I reply the 10 fragrances I want. I don't know about only fragrance but the samples that I get come with printed labels with the fragrancebuddy logo. The guy I have been talking to is Adam at fragrancebuddy. His email is sales@fragrancebuddy Hope this helps
  10. I said I would start a review of FO from Fragrancebuddy so here we go. I also just got in there Pink Chiffon type and Pink Sands type wonderful :yay:but my review is in the list below. My disclaimer is this is just my opinion smelling the fragrances out of the bottle. I have tested some in soy but not many. Oh well.. Not enough hours in the day. If anybody else has tried them it would be great if they could add to this thread. The list is no particular order: Love Spell Type is strong OOB and just like original Sugar Cookie is super strong OOB very sweet creamy and buttery Vanilla Bean Noel Type is so yummy OOB I can't wait to try this in wax Cream Brulee is strong and buttery seems similar to my BCS version Zucchini Bread very rich and bakery like I wanted Amish Harvest seems like others OOB will test Spiced Apple and Peaches OOB really nice FO Mulberry similar to others but very nice Jelly Beans hope to use this as a kids line nice OOB Suntan Lotion good odor smells like its description Downy Type is strong OOB just like original Teakwood forest is really nice OOB Cherry Lemonade really sweet cherry with light lemon odor Nice Fruit Loops this is just like the cereal awesome Cookie Kitchen not very strong OOB Birthday Cake very strong and sweet Butterfly Flower strong floral not very green Coconut sweet creamy nice Pink Chiffon very strong and just like BBW Pink Sands I love this FO so hope it smells great in wax very strong OOB Rose nice but not a fan of rose scents Green Apple nice green apple FO Oatmel, milk and honey nice not over powering sweetness Maple Syrup Strong sweet odor Sandalwood nice but not very strong Fuji Apple nice sweet apple Honeysuckle Strong floral nice Wisteria floral lily nice Strawberry Cheesecake nice but not very strong OOB Strawberry Shortcake nice pretty strong but need to try in wax

They have a sample pack of 10 so as I try them I could update the forum. I see how you don't make any money if you keep buying scents...LOL But at least the house smells great

  14. Thanks for the help on suppliers. I ordered from Candle Science and Fragrancebuddy so just waiting to get some new scents. I will post when they come in thanks again.
  15. I googled fragrance oil in Georgia and it pulled a few. What about Southern garden scents and Sassy girl? There prices seem a little high. Has any one used Fragrancebuddy? There prices look really good. There website says that its a internet based company. I think Indiana Candle Supply is set up the same way. I think I will try them for my FO supplier for now. I just ordered a 10 sample pack and 1 pound of Love Spell. Does any one have a good supplier for candle jars and wics. I also need a good idea for labels. Do you use your home printer or get a higher end glossy label made? Thanks for all help in advance....
