  1. I'm thinking since there's no citric acid in this recipe it won't completely dissolve on it's own. Might be why they say to crumble before adding to the water. I might try these today since I took a snow day from work!
  2. I have no idea, but you could always contact your credit card company..
  3. Jackie - I smell a scam.. There's so many going around it's hard to trust any of those kinds of emails! Is that the whole telephone number? Did you do a google search on it or call it? If tey didn't include their area code you can look that up on google too... Just do a little more information before actually making the product...
  4. Hmm.. I don't know how much 1/8 tsp measures out to in a % amount... but I like my scents strong, so I add usually 2-3% FO and get a good long lasting scent. Where did you get the FO from that it's not lasting? 2% is a little over 2ml. (2.37 to be exact. Not sure how many tsp that would be tho?)
  5. Yeah, after reading the reviews on NG's roller bottles I wouldn't really recommend getting them from there.. I've seen some leaking issues in the comments too... I get the glass ones...
  6. The roll on bottles is good for the lava gloss. Natures Garden has a recipe for them on their website. I got my roll on bottles from Elements, and also Lotioncrafter.
  7. Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I am in total awe!
  8. I just made a smelly jelly with the JS Leaves (thanks no2 I buyed it from you I believe! lol) Anyways, I smell more of an apple scent to it. I didn't smell it OOB (so I used it in the smelly jelly) but now that it's actuallly sitting mixed that's what I'm getting. I had my fiance smell it and he said the same thing... smells like something "appleish".
  9. We have an old house with the heat registers on the floor. I made aroma bead ornies and set a couple on the register in the bathroom.. When the heat turns on it has great throw! I'm going to make them for the rest of the house. The registers don't get very hot, so I'm not worried about them melting or anything.

    Aroma Beads

I also did 350 for oh, bout 10 mins or so.
  11. I'd be afraid since the aroma beads are plastic they would melt with a heat source. Maybe a smelly jelly on a warmer?

I use it for wickless candles in the lil metal tins on a plate warmer. Works WONDERFULLY!
  13. Ov glove! What a GREAT idea!!!!! My hunny was nervous when they were in there alone.. I told him "Well, I showed them how to do it and what not to do.. if they get burnt than they'll learn not to do that again" HAHA It's AMAZING how they can get battered, bruised and sore from football, but the smallest cut, or anything will start the howling! LOL I thought girls were dramafied, but WOW boys can be too! LOL
  14. Thanks for all the tips! It wasn't anything major, just touching a hot pan, no blister or anything. But I'm thinking ahead since the boys are getting older and thinking they want to start cooking. I think my best bet is to have alot of cold water handy! LOL
  15. TallTayle - OMG I'm HOOKED on pintrest!!!! I'm thinking that was THE worst thing to do... but, I got the invite and couldn't refuse! HAHA!!! Isn't that site the best???? I want to try making a scarf out of an old tshirt now! LOL My hunny is NOT thrilled with that site.. He said - ummm... don't you have enough on your plate that you "want to try" at the moment? LOL Pfft.. Can never have too many hobbies!
  16. Well, this will be easier than I thought! LOL I have vinegar, and a LOT since I use it as fabric softener! Thanks all! I knew not to put butter on a burn, but my dumb butt went straight for the emu oil when he did it! He did put it in cold water for quite a while, but I'm thinking the emu oil I used is probably why it wouldn't stop hurting. oops!
  17. I just saw this on Pintrest tonight and thought it was soooo CUTE!!!!! http://ragsbysockmonkey.blogspot.com/2011/10/t-shirt-shag-rug-tutorial.html With 3 boys this is DEFINATELY something I can upcycle iwth!!!!
  18. So this is why it could be an emergency.. I have twin boys who will be 13 in Jan, and another son who is 11... Well, they've decided they want to learn to cook and bake. One of the twins got his first experience of not paying attention when removing a cookie sheet from the oven. Got a nice lil burn on his thumb. I put emu oil on it, so I think that helped. But, oh goodness... it didn't help with his pain. LOL So, I'm thinking I should make a nice burn salve to keep in the kitchen. The boys REALLY enjoyed spending the day with me last weekend baking cookies and want to do more. I tried finding a good recipe, but just can't find a BINGO one! Anyone have one they can help out with? I, and my sons (who can take a beating in football, but apparently can't handle a burn) thank you! LOL
  19. We love it as well too! I use it in spray and wickless candles. Love the lemony scent! It works too... It actually cut the funk in my hunny's "man cave". LOL
  20. Yanno... I would think by now even the other vendors have GOT to be tired of him! What a piece of work he sounds like! Maybe more vendors need to complain about this idiot so the organizers will realize this is BAD for business! If multiple vendors pull out because of ONE vendor where does that leave them? Oh, I'd say with no booth rent! LOL But, at this point, I'm not sure I would want to have to do business with organizers like this... They seem like they really don't give a hoot. Can't wait to hear what you find out about the other place!!!
  21. Like a foaming bath butter? I think WSP has it, but have heard the price skyrocketed. Also think that you can make it with the Imagine Base from NG. I think there's a recipe on the product page for it. I have the Imagine Base, but have not had a whole lot of luck getting bubbles from it...
  22. Check lotioncrafter.com... I believe i remember seeing something in their formulary that is like the same thing as the modifier. Can't remember the name of it.. CME something maybe? Maybe that would leave it clear and be less expensive?
  23. Anytime I've used poly-20 it's turned milky. You can use the EO/FO Modifier (got mine at WSP not sure where else to get it) and use it instead to get a clear mix. It's pricier than poly, and you have to use twice as much, but if having a clear mix is important to you (doesn't matter to me, I use a colored bottle), than you should check into that. HTH!
