    Raspberry Thyme - it's a dup to a discontinued PartyLite scent. Ended up mixing my own. I don't know how close to the original it is; but it has satisfied my customers.

    I ordered 14 samples yesterday. Prices seem good...for now...if they are just starting that may change. $1.49 per 1oz sample is amazing these days! Placed another order for samples from another company yesterday at $2.75 each...yikes! Almost just cancelled it before finalizing.

    I accept cash and credit cards. I have many people who show up at my booth and want more than they have in cash. They get excited that I accept credit cards (and so do I...lol). I accept creditcards through Propay's little card scanner thingy (not the phone one). I feel the fees charged are worth the extra sales I was able to get. 1.99% of $25 is well worth not getting the $25 to begin with.

    Location, customer base and marketing all have a part in the answer. Is there a particular shop interested in your items? Can you ask them what they think?

    I'm waiting to see if the local college will offer a class this summer. Otherwise there is a place in Grand Rapids but I have to go through orientation, etc and they cost more for their classes. I bought a manual but it is not answering any question I come up with. Guess I needed Quickbooks for Dummies...lol.

    OMG! I have sat here for 2 hours trying to find the error. I just figured it out! One payment was already included in the beginning balance and one payment has not gotten to the bank statement. So much for my checking closely...lol

    I officially hate QuickBooks. I have entered my credit card beginning balance as of Dec. 31. Then I entered all transactions (purchases, payments and interest charges). Quickbooks ending balance is $281 less than the actual creditcard balance. I have rechecked every entry 4 times. I have used a calculator. I cannot figure this out.

    I am using QuickBooks Simple Start. I have a customer who pays through PayPal. I have done an invoice and applied his payment. Now I need to do a transaction for PayPal Fees. I did an entry with Cash on Hand decrease and PayPal Fees increase; but when I look at my Chart of Accounts it only shows an amount in the Cash on Hand Account. If I try to look at the General Journal Entry they both are there. Help! How do I do this correctly so it shows in both accounts?

    Here a few popular ones I have used: Rain Water or Sunwashed Linen from CS. Lemongrass, Wildberry Parfait, Apple Crumb, Red Hot Cinnamon, French Vanilla, Country Clothesline from Southern Scentsations.

    Customers are used to fragrances changing. Every major candle company adds and drops them often. I, personally, don't want to deal with more than 35 scents (including seasonal). It's just too much. At the end of each year I evaluate sales of each scent. I drop the slow selling ones and find new ones. I also think this keeps up with the trends and keeps things fresh.

    The first batch of votives shown had wick pins. The second batch did not. ???? I think this gadget makes candlemaking look boring. But I guess if you do that volume it would make your life easier.
