  1. Black and chrome tumblers: http://www.candlemakingsupplies.net/glass-container-jars--lids---gift-boxes/glass-containers---jars/c___104.html
  2. Scentsy melts used to be $5.99, so $5 is a discount. I know some reps in my area have discounted at vendor shows. I do not know if they are supposed to or not. There always are reps with every company who break rules...at least from my experience. I think Scentsy is feeling the pressure with other handmade crafters prices. The $10 warmers...those are definitely discounted. Might be discontinued ones? As far as her display...drives me nuts when someone does not make any effort to try to display professionally. But whatever...I just work on mine looking great (and better ).
  3. I used to use their Mango Sage Tea.
  4. Found this for anyone who is interested: http://www.hutshop.com/9855699909.html $99 plus 6.95 shipping. Cheaper than buying the top itself. Beige top will look ok with white walls....right?????????
  5. Where can I find a great deal on a replacement canopy top for the EZup Express tent? 10' x 10'. It's 20 years old and showing it wear with leaks.
  6. Doesn't it take time for the SEO to work? I'm no expert and could be wrong; but that's what I always thought.
  7. I use Pumpkin Cappuccino and their Gingerbread Latte in 415. Both strong!
  8. Why just go for the obvious? Wild Raspberry Lilac Lilac & Raspberry Raspberry Lilac vice versa Wild Berry Lilac Berry Lilac Lilac Berries sounds like a yummy blend!
  9. Gucci: I used to be able to sell votives like crazy! I can't give em away now. For my big 2 days show in August I think I will still make some; just in a few scents. At one of the shops I sell in I sold mostly melts and it's second shop I sold mostly jars. The 1st shop moved locations and I don't sell as many melts as I did. The second shop last month sold only jars. It's just weird out there right now.
  10. 2nd time at the Artisan Market. My sales went up! From $40 to $44...woo-hoo! NOT! Debating on whether to try one more date or just forfeit the other 5 dates I have already paid for ($50 total). It is just a mystery to me. I should never have a show below $100! People just raved about my scents. "unique combinations" "wow really strong scents. not like most handmade candles I smell" "oooohh these are good" etc. My pricing was 8oz jar $8 or 2/$14, clamshell $4 or 3/$10, votives $2. I don't think that was too bad. Again there were several who stopped by that said they buy my candles at the Tree Huggers shop. So they didn't buy at the show...despite they are less expensive there.
  11. Doesn't that get heavy when loaded with melts? I have a spinner rack; but it is too wobbly and awkward to carry in a car. Yours looks sturdy.
  12. How do you all store your clamshells? What type of containers? How do you prevent scents mingling?
  13. There is a lady around here that makes solar lights out of jars. they are pretty cool
  14. Haven't had any time to do testing lately. I have 15 from different sources sitting waiting.
  15. I did have postcard size flyers with the dates of my shows this year. Several took them.
  16. I was so excited to do my first show at an Artisan market here. People have been telling me to for years. yesterday was the first one of the season. I am splitting the booth dates with another crafter. I get 7 Sundays and she has 8. Yesterday was in the 90's and humid...ugh! Thankfully there is electricity so I brought a fan. There were quite a few people come through; but they were not buying. I was 1 of 2 candlemakers and her jars were 4oz jelly jars. So I felt I wasn't competing against her. A few of the booths there that had really unusual items were selling well; but the majority of us didn't. Not sure why. This market has a reputation of being really great. I do think some people get confused. They hold a Farmers Market there several days during the week. I think people think the Artisans is the same one and can catch it later. I had several asking if I was going to be there today and had to explain the difference. I only sold $40! And that was towards the end of the show. So I bored and hot all day! I was excited that 3 people stopped by and said they absolutely love my candles and buy them at Tree Huggers all the time (the shop I have them in). at least they are buying somewhere...lol! I go to the Artisan show again 2 Sundays from now. I hope it is a better day. At least I now do not have to make more stock to get ready.
  17. I don't burn anything at the shows. People are always saying how good it smells walking up to my booth, so I never saw the need. I am however taking a sample warmer next show. It amazes me how many do not know what a melt is! I think I answered that question 25 times yesterday. The shows I have been doing do not allow sales of anything not handmade, so I can't sell warmers. But it looks like I need to have one there to show people.
  18. hejarstore.com used to have them. Not sure if they do now.
  19. I was just wondering about putting my logo on the air fresheners. I like the embossing idea.
