  1. Comes to $30.42 for me in MI. Fillmore will give you the best quantity of cases to buy for shipping. In this case it would be 6 cases. $32.52/6 cases.
  2. You could put a border around parts of it. Your label is lovely though.
  3. Always thought of them as separate also. Just that they are involved in the same line of work.
  4. When I am calculating the cost of a candle - For fragrance oils I will take the shipping from the highest cost fragrance and an order of at least 3 lbs. Then figure from there. That way any fragrances that are less...just a little more profit and I don't have to worry about it. I use the excel cost spreadsheet that is floating around here somewhere.
  5. When I enter a new consignment contract I only stock a few items. I tell them it is to see what customers are trending toward. I then will add as I feel comfortable. I keep an eye on the and contact them to check and see if they need more (aka checking up on them). If they are late with payment a red flag pops up and I contact them. I have only had one shop that suddenly was late on a payment. She had complained the last time I was there that sales were slow. I decided to pull my stock. She went out of business the following month. In your case I would consistently keep contacting the person and ask for your money. Even offer to come to their home and pick up the check if they are too busy. I have 4 consignment accounts that I do not have any trouble with. They are reputable business owners. They make up the bulk of my sales. So don't cut out consignment all together. Of course the bad part of consignment is the inventory ($$$) sitting there waiting to sell.
  6. Thank you. My SIL is asking me for some melts.
  7. Who's is a good dupe of Yankee's?
  8. I spilled wax all over my floor a while ago. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?101387-wax-disaster&highlight=wax+on+floor I used a pampered chef stone scraper to get the majority of it off and then scrubbed the heck out of it. I still find spatter marks here and there on the floor/wall.
  9. I did m&P years ago. I seem to recall that you did not let the first layer set up completely solid. ???
  10. Pretty much what 001 said. My son has final say on how strong it was; because my nose is fried.

  12. You can buy treatment pumps and glass bottles separately at sks-bottle.com.
  13. I used to get mine at the office supply store. I do not recall any sticky residue. I quit doing gels in 2002.
  14. There are different 44z wicks; but don't ask me to recall what. 44-24-18 44-32-18 44-28-18

  16. Laminate paper! Cut the size you want, punch a hole in so they will be able to smell the candle and stick it on top. I used to do that with my gel candles years ago.
  17. 415 is not ugly. I use it. It can tend to frost; but it's worth it for the scent throw.
  18. Amen! I completely agree. I have been making soy candles off and on since 2002. I still find I learn new things and tweak now and then; but the basis of my candles have not changed since the beginning. My customers are happy...so I am happy. From day one I never gave a hoot about frost. It did not stop my sales. At one pint I did try to switch to a blend of soy waxes to get a creamier look; but immediately went back because it wasn't worth the hassle. Besides I was taking time away from making sales with what I had been using.
  19. Are you doing them in sets or just single? http://www.soapwizards.com/tek9.asp?pg=products&specific=jofqqseoo (for singles) http://www.tealightboxes.com/category_s/1.htm (for sets) You could also go with plain white or kraft boxes and a pretty label.

  21. Here's my working version of the one I am doing for a rescue center: Sorry so big!
  22. Hmmm....will this help when they slap a new address sticker on my UPS packages before they deliver? I don't know why; but they always change the address to one across town where I have never lived nor know anyone who has lived. When I call to get it fixed, they have no idea why either! :rolleyes2
