  1. My last few batches I had the gremlins too. Maybe gremlins don't like summer LOL. My one soap seized up so bad, granted it was Wild Hyacinth from Mad Oils....my husband requested it btw....not me LOL....I've never had a soap seize like this....but I was able to get it molded....it's just butt ugly. I soaped cool too. My other batch, Sun & Sand from WSP got so darn thick I plopped it in the mold with spoons and spatulas.....It was so thick...that when I was washing my stuff...I noticed my small spatula was broken on the rubber end. I thought....OMG....that rubber is in that loaf! It sure was. When I cut it...I found it. That bar is now in my shower LOL. However, this one came out GREAT color wise. Not what I was going for design wise....but it looks cool all the same. I will post some pics of them both once I get them off my phone.
  2. That is why this forum is phenomenal. Little tips like this make testing just a hair easier! Welcome to the forum Natasha!
  3. Their refined Shea is awesome. I just recently got a bucket of it. Great Quality. I still did not dig out my oils to see what I have of theirs Sorry, I started working full time in the last 2 weeks and am not used to it! Still need to find my groove LOL.
  4. Its been several years since I ordered mine, and I can't remember!!! Most recently I soaped their Hawaiian tropic and at first I thought it faded, but it has come back pretty good. I will have to look and see what I have. I have about 10 2 ounce bottles
  5. I have some of their fo's. The ones I've used have been good. Didn't someone on here say in another thread that their oils all come from Lebermuth?
  6. Awesome Tutorial for hot process! Thanks so much Chefmom!!!
  7. I love it! I think the waviness is much more eye pleasing than straight lines!
  8. I have an old bottle of this that was labeled for bb and candles. I did soap it once....and really loved it. It smelled exactly like it did OOB....and didn't discolor. Shame that it's no longer skin safe
  9. These are gorgeous! You should do a soap of the month or a tip of the month tutorial on how to PIPE soap tops! hint hint lol I bought the piping supplies, but I haven't done anything with them yet.
  10. Very unique bar Kelly! I love that blue color
  11. love it....where's that cut pic LOL
  12. These are all great JC....I too like the celtic with the stearic spots. Kinda reminds me of mottling on a pillar candle LOL
  13. I got a really nice grey in this bar by using td and black oxide. I didn't have charcoal....but have since ordered some. Imagine it would give you the same result. I mixed my black first....then added the liquid td to it to get the grey. I have water soluble td so I mix mine with water and keep it in a squeeze bottle
  14. I was just going to post that exact page tall tayl! I went thru this when I mailed out my oils from the classified Belinda. In fact....I shippped yours ground too. I ended up shipping one package priority because all the flashpoints on those bottles were noted....and above the usps threshold. I printed this page out for future reference bacause I have a LOT more oils to sell too.
  15. Oh I can't wait to see it! Ya know.....I really was turned off at first when I opened that jar of pine tar....and even when soaping it. But after a couple days I loved the smell of it. I added lavender to mine too....and I think it came thru a bit. Next time though, I will use the pine tar straight up with no other scent.
  16. Thanks for that link to Candles and Supplies tutorial Candybee. I don't have citronella, but wanted to make a nice citronella type candle to take on our vacation in a week. I wanted something that repels bugs....and they have a great list of bug repellent EO's....all of which I have. I think I will make 2 tomorrow to test out. We are going to Rehoboth Beach and the house we are renting is in the middle of a marsh on the Bay. While the reviews say it's not buggy....I find that hard to believe LOL.
  17. I love it....I do see a winged creature though!! This is how most of mine come out....my first one looked like a moth! But...I see an exotic bird....if you look at the bar as an individual...I kinda see a peacock!
  18. I have a 4 oz bottle of Southern Soapers Egyptian Dragon that I soaped last fall I think...it was in my cabinet for several years. I LOVE it. Everyone I gave it away to LOVES it. I still have 2 oz left....and knowing that it isn't available has kept me from using that last 2 oz. If you do get it duped....I would love to purchase some. It's an AWESOME oil. It did darken a bit more than this pic...this was just after cutting....but it still looked great!
  19. You should do a tutorial on masterbatching in the tip topic of the month. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this. I would LOVE to have a master batch of oils ready to go...not nearly that amount....I'd be happy with 20 pounds...but I have no clue how to do this at all. Way to go on having that much ready to go....I'm jealous. The thing that turns me off the most with making soap is dividing out and measuring the oils and butters. It's such a chore sometimes.
  20. Amazon has a Cuisinart, but it's quite pricey. https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CSB-78-Cordless-Rechargeable-Blender/dp/B0017W26YS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1466728349&sr=8-2&keywords=cordless+stick+blender
  21. I did look at Bud's page, but was wanting to stay below 100, so went with this one. This is the page....called grammas shop https://www.etsy.com/listing/288292163/soap-cutter?ref=shop_home_active_21
  22. Years and Years ago I bought exactly what you are describing. It's a terra cotta pendant on a leather like adjustable rope....and I use it to diffuse essential oil. It's a great little necklace. In the winter I like to put my thieves oil on it LOL. I have no idea where I bought that, and have not seen another one since. Mine is a round circle with a leaf design pressed into it.
