  1. Are we talking a lot of hang up or just a little? I don't think a little bit is that big of a deal as long as you like it and are happy with it and it smells great. Which from your post sounds like you are. Just my 2 cents. Or, you could become obsessed with the perfect burn like the rest of us and become a fanatic. :smiley2: Then it begins....
  2. I use a bubble mailer. Light weight and easy to use. I've never had any complaints.
  3. I just love the look of the palm ones! So pretty.
  4. Same with Ecco, I've never had that issue. What company do you get your FO from?
  5. I like it. Customers seemed to really like it also at my last craft show.
  6. I use the one from elements and it stays clear for MOSt fragrance oils. Essential oils all seem to cloud so I bottle them in aluminum bottles. Oh, and it's only for linen and room sprays, not for body spray. http://www.elementsbathandbody.com/Air-Freshener-Linen-Spray-Base-pr-1129.html They have a body spray also but I've never used it. http://www.elementsbathandbody.com/Moisturizing-Body-Spray-Base-pr-1007.html
  7. When I used straight 464 I used CD and Eco's depending on my container size etc.
  8. I pour to order. I usually pour 3 (8 oz tins) of each scent at a time or one 16 oz Apothecary or one 16 oz tin and one 8 oz tin depending on what's ordered. I find doing them in 16 oz increments is easier for me. Anything more than that at once gets really messy for me. I don't like to have a lot of finished candles just sitting on the shelf either.
  9. No one? I'm stumped. I was reading a forum on Etsy about using it and all of the M&Per's claimed all their bases were made with sus. palm. I figured with all of them using it, there must be a big supplier somewhere. Or, they were all lying. The search continues...
  10. Does anyone know of a M&P base that uses sustainable palm? My search has showed me nothing other than LUSH and a couple of articles on Stephenson pledging to do so.
  11. Or Louanns Coconut oil at Walmart. Very cheap. I don't know if will make it last longer though.
  12. Don't let them intimidate you. I just did a show this weekend where there was 5 other candle vendors, scentsy and gold canyon included. Be different. Have confidence in your products and don't stoop to putting down the other vendors. We did pretty good and received a lot of compliments along with our sales. Competition keeps you on your toes and forces you to think outside the box sometimes.
  13. I'd be interested also. I haven't found anyone carrying the SFIC bases here in Pa. Most of them carry other kinds. So...... I can't help but I'm marking this to come back to.
  14. I have a big show this Saturday. A Christmas Magic Craft Show. From what the rest of your are reporting, I am hopeful it will turn out somewhat profitable. There will be over a hundred vendors so lots of competition.
  15. Thankfully, never happened to me. But thanks for the laugh!
  16. A lot of them throw great in soy. Whatever doesn't I use in Soap or Bath and Body products. I love NG!
  17. It's a gamble with them. They really burned me bad this past spring by not sending my whole order and taking almost three months to send me the rest, only after I filed complaints with the BBB and Paypal. Never received one reply from my many emails and never received an apology or explanation. I don't like to gamble with my money when placing orders for supplies.
  18. This place says they have palm free melt and pour. http://www.renascentcollege.com/index.php?cPath=29_78_81
  19. I use the deep 8 oz tins with a soy blend and it does that when it reach's about an inch from the bottom. Never had any issues with it.
  20. I do it all of the time. I love silicone, very easy to use and clean.
  21. Huh. I don't think there is anything wrong with the way you have it. It's not like you have a thousand fragrances to go through. I actually like not having to scroll up and down too much or flip from page to page. If you do decide to break it up what about "Designer/type", "Bakery", "Holiday" and Rename some as your own "signature or regular scents"
  22. I've used the one from C&S in tarts and I like it. It smells like cider donuts to me. I haven't tried it in candles yet.
  23. Oh good. I was eyeing that one and one from JBN.
  24. Of course, just when I pull myself back into the black CS has another sale. It's like dangling an apple in front of a starving person. (sigh)
