  1. I used to use a gas stove, I had a large saucepan 2/3 full of water with a trivet to stand the melting pot on to keep it off the bottom of the pan. Always kept a close eye on the temp. and never left it unattended. Hope this helps
  2. LMAO right up there with you just went way over the 100 mark and just ordered more, can't help it. Then there's the blending them lol.
  3. Ooooooh I likey still haven't got round to my second attempt but well done you
  4. Beautiful damn you guys are soooo lucky you get such great choices of waxes can't seem to find anything but ecosoya in the UK
  5. Yep same here wouldn't be without my wick stickers or my wick centering tools
  6. Ooooh love them, I hope my attempt at these will be better than the fuglies I made last time
  7. Oooooh can't wait till the next class, gonna take the laptop out to the workshop and make them during class. You guys are so talented and its fantastic that you're willing to share your techniques with us all. Will post my fuglies later that I made yesterday look more layered than waves but had a lot of fun making them.
  8. Gorgeous, I love the colour, I do like that palm wax but haven't anywhere that sells it in the UK
  9. Thanks folks for your input, think I shall be ordering a couple next time to give them a try Might try the metal tape as well and see what works best for me as I'm so sick of using blue tack.
  10. I've never used wicking pins for making pillars before but just wanted to know what advantages and disadvantages there are with using them. After observing the class last night that Scented did makes me think they would be much easier than what I'm doing just now. Any input on this would be hugely appreciated folks Many thanks Sarah
  11. They're beautiful, I'm sure they will do well for you, well done
  12. Mmmmm those are absolutely gorgeous, well done
  13. LMAO I really have spent too long sniffing scents this week. Thinking Land of Oz was Australia lol, steps out of workshop to breathe some fresh air.
  14. I think Australia is about 9 hours ahead of us Sally so it'll be an early start for us on Sunday lol
  15. Have used them for the past 3 years and have never had a problem with them. Always helpful and their scents are great
  16. Have been pouring Christmas scents for a month now didn't think there would be such a great demand already for them but they're selling fast Will definitely be ordering the FO's earlier next year
  17. Thought I'd give rustics a try this weekend, so have Home Sweet Home and I mixed my own Caramel Apple, which smells so good just now its making me wanna go out and buy one lol. Will let you know how they turned out later
  18. I found it on the product catalogue link on the right hand side
  19. Have you tried using this link http://www.wickcenteringtool.com/default.asp?S=500&CategoryID=-1&PageNo=2
  20. He he imagine the heating bills you would save with that monster Great job
  21. I use the same wax and had the same problem, try putting them in the fridge for a few minutes, not too long or they might crack
  22. Thanks for that Eugenia, I will be playing around with Photoshop quite soon. I'm studying graphic design at college just now and will be learning the ins and outs in the next few weeks Nancy I got my light box on Ebay if that helps, the link that Eugenia gave pretty much shows the same as what I have.
  23. This is the first time I've posted a pic on here, thought it was about time I did. Had bought a light box that I kept hearing you guys talking about, love the pics that you have been posting using them, so that arrived yesterday and have spent the morning playing with it. I haven't played about with Photoshop yet but I do like this light box I'm testing my pillars using soy pb and this one is scented with Lemon Lavender, it smells awesome so fingers crossed it will give just as good a hot throw. What do you think
  24. Ooooh he's adorable, I love the dipped bears but haven't got round to experimenting with them yet. One of the many things I have on my list of things to do which is increasingly looking like a 10year plan lol
