  1. Hi everyone, not posted for a while as I've been a bit busy. Have finally rolled up my sleeves and had a go at making some soap. This is my second attempt at making cp, its scented with Vahine and smells awesome Hope you like it too
  2. Oh thanks for that, was hoping to get them in the US as they will probably be cheaper but they may have to do, Many thanks for that
  3. Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely christmas and new year. Does anyone know of a supplier for 8" white mop top dogs I've spent hours googling. I found them some time last year and wish I'd bookmarked them and now I can't find them only the big 18" ones. I've had a customer ask for them for the candle party I'm doing at the end of this month. I'm sure its Cuddle Factory that make them. Any help would be great, many thanks
  4. LOL looking into Valentine's and Easter just now, 2 days with my feet up Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but I couldn't resist the urge to go melt something on Boxing Day. Happy New Year and good luck to you all for 2008
  5. I do know he ships to the UK, not much help to you I know, but items showing on his Ebay shop does say he ships worldwide. Arnie's great and always very helpful HTH

  8. Had a look at these a while back, it says you need the heated candle base leveler with it http://www.candlewic.com/store/Product.aspx?q=cLevelers,p233 thats another $106 to add to the cost the shipping sure does suck, how about us UK peeps jet off for a short holiday and fill our cases with goodies we cant get here lol would probably be cheaper than paying shipping
  9. I'm off to do a candle party tonight so have been so busy all week preparing for it. Not going to be pouring much this weekend apart from baby powder then back to being busy on monday
  10. Sharyl I tried it with stearine and it did horrible things lol, started peeling away from the sides of the mold and just looked downright fugly by the time I'd finished lol. I made one with with a little micro hard as I was still getting a little melting around the edges with just the stearine and its fine. At last I've done it woo hoo. Will make a set tomorrow and post some pics.
  11. Beautiful, just love that display you have
  12. Woo hoo well done you, hope it brings you loads of business
  13. Its paraffin wax with a mp of 155 F. We don't have the choice of waxes that you guys in the US have
  14. I've ordered some paraffin wax today with a high meltpoint so can hopefully make some forever pillars that don't melt around the tealight holder. Can I still add stearine to this wax to get a rustic effect? I've never used this wax before and just searched the archives but couldn't find anything specific to this. Any help on this would be great, many thanks
  15. Is it for tealights if so here's the link http://www.wickcenteringtool.com/default.asp?S=503&A=E&PKV=TLWCT-1|0 Hope this helps

  18. Oh yes thank goodness for coffee, I've had take a whiff of the coffee jar many times, can't smell a damn thing most of the time lol.
  19. Thanks Sharyl I'll maybe try it later with the micro hard and see if it helps, I do have 4" molds as well so may give that a try too
  20. Thanks Steph, and there was me thinking it would be great not having to worry about wicking issues lol. Need to make these for my daughter she's a nightmare with candles and I'd hate to see her burn her house down, no matter how many times I tell her not to go to bed and leave them burning. Thought they would be ideal for her, she's just moved down to England and wanted to give her a nice house warming present, then decided what a great christmas pressie for my sister, mum and m-i-l. I shall continue to practise with these
