  1. Made a few candles this am for an order from work. Plus just emailed my web designer and told him to shut 'er down. Not sad, just feel freaking liberated!!!
  2. My tupperware juice pitcher for lye. Bought 2 of them about 5 years ago off of ebay and they'd been sitting in the back 40 of the cupboards pretty much ever since (we don't drink much juice).
  3. Congrats on your first soaps! Don't ya just love it? They look great, and I bet your bergamot and grapefruit blend smells wonderful
  4. I got that exact e'mail a couple days ago~~same guy, same request, same wording. I deleted it.
  5. My first lard recipe had 60% in it~~turned out hard as a brick bat with a nice, creamy lather And yep, it took a while to trace. With a combo of pulse SB'ing and stirring, it took almost 20 minutes.
  6. The only one from your list I've tried is Dreamcatcher. It's very nice in CP soap~~I only used 0.7 oz ppo and after 3 weeks it's still strong.
  7. Very realistic~~they look great! That used to be my favorite thing to get from the ice cream man when I was little. We called them 'bomb pops'
  8. Mimosa and Mandarin~~no morphing, no A, don't know about D because I used colorants. Smells awesome! I will have to try the Violet Lime out, that's another of my favorite CS scents :smiley2:
  9. Gran~~ I have not made any laundry gel (but it's another thing on my to do list lol), but here is a recipe w/ some instructions http://www.aquasapone.com.au/soapmaking/laundrygel_soap.html HTH :smiley2:
  10. Friday was a veggie recipe w/ SW Vanilla Sandalwood and vanilla beans, today was castile, tomorrow will be a lard recipe w/ my neglected bucket o' lard. And yet another attempt at a swirl ITM.
  11. I send one back in the postage paid envelopes that cc offers come in (and other ones, too lol). Wish I could say it was an original idea, but I got it from this link that someone posted~~ http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50408 Alot of clever ideas there:)
  12. I ordered a small custom slab mold last Friday and it's due to ship out today~~oh the anticipation! Can't wait--I'm tired of freezer paper already!
  13. In general, I don't think price *necessarily* has anything to do with it. I mostly use CS, Peaks, GL, and NG. All companies have both very strong oils, and a couple oils that have been dissappointing in their strength and fragrance. As far as SW, I've only bought 3 fos from them, and they all smell awesome and are worth their price, IMO. In addition, they do have more complex fragrances to choose from. However, I've read where they've also got oils that are on the weaker side, or have been disappointing. For me, this has been discovered, well, very expensively lol. As Sliver said, you really have to try for yourself, and unfortunately it costs quite a bit of $$ to do so! The up side is that you *can* get ideas on where to start by searching/asking on this forum and others:) HTH~~and makes sense!
  14. Sorry, no help~~but I'll be watching this thread for the Patchouli part. That eo is priced like liquid gold lol!
  15. I agree with Carebear~~go for it! It's just a gal and her soap pot, have fun! Isn't that what it's all about anyway lol?
  16. I e'mailed her quite a while ago per her site concerning buying my custom base formula from her and never rec'd a reply. As a matter of fact, I discontinued the cream on my site today because what I have left is just too old for me to comfortably sell:( The kicker is, my product home page talks about the cream, so that will all have to be redone. Decided to just make creams/lotions for my family, cuz I just don't have the $$ to have it tested properly. Ah well, such is life!
  17. Hmmmm...you would think that with all the $$ that Ebay/Paypal has, that their 'people' would be a bit more proactive in getting to the bottom of it, eh?
  18. I live in a DW and wasn't offended by the trailer trash angle of it (cuz I know I'm not lol),~~but a couple of your scent names/descriptions made me go>> and However, I think your name is awesome, and your logo, home page, and product page are *very* nice~~you should take that ball and run with it!
  19. I put a few drops on an old t-shirt and throw it in the dryer with a load of clothes. Or I make candles just for myself. Some do end up in the trash, though:rolleyes2
  20. Boy do I wish I could attend~~have to work that Saturday Keeping fingers crossed this is a success (sounds like it will be!)~Maybe it can become an annual gathering;) I know y'all will have a ball!
  21. Just started selling tarts, but I'm using what I have on hand--6x6 shrink bags lol. Six can fit comfortably in them. I'm wondering how those Uline resealable bags work? Got a catalog a few weeks ago and I've been eyeballing them:)
