  1. Thanks for the replies. It was pretty and smelled great. She was using pink sugar. All I could see though was that stuff stuck to the seat of someones car or something. I think I may give it a whirl.
  2. SO, I was at a relay for life benefit and saw these air fresheners. They looked like beads of gel stuck together and were formed into the pink ribbon. I have not ventured into making air fresheners and was just wondering if anyone knew what they were made of? I have seen the blanks which I would probably feel better about making, because it seems to me that the heat of the car could make the gels melt? It gets up in the 100's were I live and with the heat index even up to 110 outside, not to mention the inside of a car.
  3. Anyone care to share the recipe for salt bars?
  4. Thankfully, he has never complained much of itching. It amazes me, because his is much more noticeable than mine and I itch like crazy in the winter. Thank you for offering to send the soap to me. I will email you as well. Summer is almost here and we are at the creek and beach as much as possible. Even though I put like a 50 proof on him, the sun has been the best medicine so far.
  5. Okay, I tried it again with only 2 tablespoons of FO and added a little corn starch. The corn starch seemed to help it dry instantly and it still smells great. Not to mention the amount of FO that I'm saving, lol. Thanks for all the tips.:smiley2:
  6. I figured out why I can't pm you. I haven't been a member long enough. You are welcome to email me if you would. I would be more than happy to purchase the soap. I noticed you have a website, just don't know what it's called, pricing, etc. Thanks
  7. Hi Lorrie, I couldn't get pm to work. It would ship to zip 32565.
  8. If there are no takers, let me know when you get it done. Thanks
  9. Thanks, some of the things mentioned, I have never heard of and will definitely look into it.
  10. Hello, I am in need of a recipe for excema. My son has had a pretty bad case of it since he was born. He is 9 years old now and I think I have tried evrything under the sun for it, mostly over the counter soaps and lotions. His pediatrician prescribed meds for it, but after reading the side effects, I was not willing to risk it for dry skin. I am not a soap maker, I just recently got into making candles. Not sure I even want to get into the soap, but would be willing to try it for him. Thanks for any help you can give
  11. I put a whole 1oz bottle in mine. I'm guessing that's too much huh? lol:laugh2: But, boy does it smell good.
  12. After reading this yesterday, I had to try it. I am also curious as to how long it takes to dry though. I cant wait to sprinkle it on my carpet. I thought a bigger container would help the drying process, so it could be more spread out. Even thought of putting it in a cardboard box to soak up some of the wetness, but decided not to, because I figured it would also soak up the scent. Any takers on how long it takes?
  13. I agree, there are too many sue happy people in this world. After all of this, my husband asked two of his friends who are lawers (one is even a judge) and they both said that the warning labels would be enough, but after reading all of your inputs, I still want to check into insurance before selling. I have no idea on what kind to get or anything though. Any suggestion? I have also given a ton of candles away and had family and friends test them as well as testing one out of each batch myself. Some were good, some were'nt. I realize now that I have a long way to go before selling. Thanks
