  1. Has anyone had experience in using citric acid in soap to help with hard water issues? If so how much pp do you use? I'm having a awful time with soap film on the skin and I can't take it anymore lol.
  2. No problem! The regular size silicone liners though should be fine I believe they are 2" or so this is a normal size cupcake.
  3. You can save your money on those if your handy I use my old 2lb lye bottles and had hubby drill a hole in the cap and my large tips fit right in there, I didn't even have to glue them. I like using the larger tips, because the smaller ones take forever to pipe on and kills my back.
  4. You can find them on etsy or cupcake shops online. I haven't been able to find them locally at all. I did order some from Iherb though they are unbleached and are supposed to stand on their own without a pan. If these work I'm going to buy some pretty patterned ones. If you need some sites let me know I have some saved that I might order from if they work
  5. I love her stuff she is just the best at them!
  6. Have you guys tried the greaseproof paper ones yet? I just ordered them to test them out.
  7. EOU's 40/42 is nice in soap too
  8. Has anyone used the edible glitter on top of soap or would it melt from gelling? I'm not sure what it is made out of.
  9. Coastal Scents sells pretty glitters too
  10. I love Kayla's blog, personal care truth is another good one too. The one thing that bugs me in all this is we need a food bill way more urgent than a so called safe cosmetics bill. How many times a week do we hear of some meat being recalled and people dying, but they would rather attack the cosmetic industry instead.
  11. Lets hope it doesn't pass, I just can't believe 67% are in support of it!
  12. I quit ordering from labels by the sheet a while ago, because none of my labels would come out. They were not helpful either in fixing the problem. I love online labels now & their customer service is awesome!
  13. Well I hope they start selling them soon I want to try one out lol
  14. I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I saw these and thought they were pretty cool. http://spirallightcandle.com/video.html
  15. Trying to explain that to the crunchy people will make you pound your head in the wall though lol. Doesn't matter what kind of evidence you find, they still will believe everything the ewg says on this stuff. I'm not even sure if it would be safe for composting either since there are so many chemicals in fo's that are "secret" I'm sure that is why they say to throw them out instead of pouring it down the drain.
  16. Very old thread lol. I'm not scared of phthalates anymore
  17. I have the old batch still and will be so sad when it's gone I love that color!
  18. Plastic garbage bags will work too
  19. I'm getting the oil spots too with a few batches, but found out the company mislabeled the lye so it was koh lol. I've had my castile go totally orange and smell from the humidity, I'm afraid to do a castile soap again just because of that.
  20. That is the bad thing about lakes they can bleed. I use the TKB liquid lakes, but my favorite is the blue, because it turns a pretty purple. I think that only one that isn't suppose to bleed is tomato red I believe. I heard of people using clay to prevent bleeding, but haven't tried it myself yet.
  21. Cool, been looking for non bleeding colors!
  22. Ditto on the chocolate fudge that is my fav chocolate scent, but I haven't tried it in wax yet.
