  1. I just made some and yours look way better lol. Though I always put too much additives in them I still haven't been brave enough to color salt bars like that. So pretty!
  2. Every once in a while BB will have a coupon for silicone molds BTW your salt bar looks great!
  3. Salt bars have always been my favorite to make and use I love this mold https://www.brambleberry.com/6-Half-Cylinder-Silicone-Mold-P5822.aspx
  4. Have anyone tried these in CP soap from Just Scent? Perfect pumkin, pumpkin crunch pie, pumpkin cupcake or candy corn buttercream? They sound so yummy! TIA
  5. I use my blender it's over 400 watts and it seems to do the trick but I noticed with wheat and oat flour even companies can't get it fine like the colloidal. Bobs Red Mill does the best at it though
  6. I put mine in the oven on it's lowest setting to get them to gel I do this with my slab molds too.
  7. I actually love cp but for oils that can go more quickly I like hp for that. I haven't seen DOS in hp yet (knock on wood) and I live in a humid area.
  8. This is what I think I did. I swear it looks like it boiled on top of the soap but it's still useable. Glad the link helped
  9. Westsoy makes a unsweetened soy milk and it's just soybeans and water if anyone is interested & afraid of the sugar they put in some. I think I'm going to try hemp next.
  10. That is exactly what one of my batches did a couple weeks ago. My oven is old so I believe it went too high but I didn't know I was suppose to watch it. Here is a good video on it
  11. These are so gorgeous! I bought a bunch of tips and nail head to do the cp but I'm afraid to try it lol
  12. You'll have less problems with DOS with HP though, at least in my experience
  13. I love candlescience rose in cp, it's a true rose to me
  14. I can't cut soap either so I have hubby do it with his chef knife lol. I'm thinking about getting one of the wire cheese slicers though like this http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fox-Run-Craftsmen-Wooden-Cheese-Slicer/14989275 they are $10 I seen in the store soaping 101 uses one
  15. This is a great page thanks! I am so surprised that salt is on there & coconut oil I use salt bars everyday and haven't had problems. I have hard water too.
  16. If you add lye to your oat milk it will turn into a gloppy mess, but it is totally fine to use Mine never burned but I agree it's better to add it at trace. Here is another way to make oat milk that I've been wanting to try with steel cut oats & you rinse the slime off of it so maybe that is why it gets gloppy in lye.
  17. I love them in soap a little goes a long way
  18. My face breaks out from shea too but mango it's ok I guess it just depends on the person. A salt bar really helps with my breakouts though.
  19. Extracts are made with alcohol and tend to burn off so the scent doesn't really work in cp or hp. Flavor oils are made with oils. Hope that helps
  20. Thanks! Where do you get yours that are natural? I love using eo's in soap but would love to change it up a bit.
  21. This sounds lovely how much do you use per lb is it the same as fo's?
  22. Yeah they are pretty slow but have great products. Just wish I was closer to them for faster shipping.
  23. I like using eo's because I'm allergic to most fo's but there are some great fo's out there! I didn't know you could use flavor oils in soap do you make cp TexasBrat?
