    I hear that when I lived in texas I only ordered online for my supplies, unless I was really lucky finding it local.

    It depends on where it is shipped from too. I can get coconut oil from the grocery store cheaper than the 7lb jug from columbus & I'm only a few hours from chicago. There is a place locally where I could get 50lbs cheaper than columbus, but I'm small time and have no way to store that much.

    Oh that sucks. I haven't had that problem, but I made a sugar soap I've been testing in the bathroom and I found it the other day in the bathroom covered in ants

    Your right scented, when the diesel prices skyrocket so does everything else, truck driving companies then have to raise their prices.

    All the oils went up it is crazy. I think canola doubled in price since I last bought it. I use crisco to sub palm oil, since there is palm oil in it, works out really well

    You won't get fragrance to come through much the lye monster usually kills it. I've used bakers chocolate that gave a little scent, but I would recommend using cocoa absolute it is yummy in soap.

    You can get vanilla oleoresin, but MMS did this in cp and the scent didn't carry over much.

    Oh thanks! I tried yellow oxide before and it seemed muddy. I didn't even know they had orange oxide lol.

    Anyone have a good rec for toffee in cp? I'm having a hard time finding any kind of toffee. I really want straight toffee.

    I do mine in the crockpot, but I've seen it done in the oven too or double boiler. If you don't have catherine failor's book on liquid soap you must get it. Lots of good info in there
