    Well I have both MW's and Peak and will have to compare. I thought one of them was richer in amber (MW) and the other in vanilla (Peak)

    I would speculate that ambre essence is probably a straight amber. Have you ever compared an amber resin to an amber FO? Resin is luxurious and a sniffgasm.

    I disagree. I have GS in my soaps and it does not promote DOS. I have some three-year-old bars with not a speck.

    I'll start by asking what you like first. Since you're just starting out I would get fragrances you like.

    Fruity. I don't pick up any bakery notes in it.

    I did have some show up 2 1/2 weeks into the cure, but it was a horribly humid summer and the ac died and one of the oils I was trying out at the time was not a good cosmetic grade either, but I agree with you 100%.

    When there's a big sale/event, it usually takes a week longer than normal in my experience, but they're pretty quick otherwise.

    I think Kaolin is softer and provides more slip and guide and maybe more suited for shaving products. I just don't get that with Bentonite.

    I've got four-shelf racks that I use. They're in probably the coolest part of the place outside of the fridge.

    I wasn't expecting a discolor, but I would use TD over VS any day first, just because it's my preference.

    I've used this in soap and it sticks quite well. Also discolors. Sigh.

    Kept in a cool dark place should help them. Keep in mind though that they can go south(bad) in less than a year. I'm dealing with a slew of them that aren't a year old yet that have lost their whiff and while it's been a week of disappointments, at least I know not to reorder them. On the flip side I have another bottle that's 15 years old or so and it's just fine. Too bad most of them aren't like that one bottle.

    I haven't tried Bert's but I've tried a few. I still think ICS has the best out there.
