  1. Good luck on Drag Strip as the only throw I got was out of the bottle.
  2. FOH had a good one, which was bought out by Elements. you can see if she is still carrying it.
  3. Well one the wick needs to be kept tightly around a wick rod and occasionally pulled on to make sure it's still taunt. Secondly, I would try to keep my relief holes open for about 6 hours before doing a repour and that's saying that no liquid gushes out. Pour temps can make a diff, but so can the type of wax used. Imagine having a votive look normal, but hours later going to make the final pour only to find that the whole thing really shrunk to about 1/4 of a cup. So you can wait what might feel like forever and then a little longer and maybe things will change. Third, if you are sick of trying and trying and trying, get wick pins
  4. Interesting read by PCT. http://personalcaretruth.com/2011/07/made-up-cosmetics-concerns/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+PersonalCareTruthOrScare+%28Personal+Care+Truth+or+Scare%29&utm_content=Yahoo%21+Mail
  5. I would have said between .25 and .5 oz. Depends on the strength you want AND if you want it to work.
  6. I don't know how outdated this is, but you'll find a link to suppliers by state here: http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?55309-Supplier-by-State
  7. It's likely a renamed FO, but being a very spicy scent is too vague. Do you recognize any other notes in it? All I saw was an apple spice type of scent being played off as Old Glory.
  8. awesome. Plenty of links to follow. Since the bill isn't out and since there are familiar names behind this one and probably no science either, I imagine that there's going to be a lot lies coming out during the sessions.
  9. I was thinking the same thing lol! Welcome to the board, Darrell.
  10. Lemme know if you can't see this: http://www.soapguild.org/blog/2011/06/legislative-update-safe-cosmetics-act/?nl=1
  11. I think Elements has some of the martinis that FOH used to carry.
  12. Check size Bliss. Maybe it's that?
  13. Long time ago I had their sandalwood and it smelled like dirty coconut. They argued with me saying I was insane basically. No skin off my back, but sandalwood does not smell like dirty coconut. The other FOs I got at the time I couldn't get anything more than a scent oob.
  14. No. But typically the specks come from a different batch or supplier (possibly). if you want, in the future you can melt those down before adding to wax.
  15. out of curiosity how much liquid did you put in?
  16. I avoid the place altogether. You have to buy their top notch stuff and then hope it works.
  17. My school colors. Your soap looks better than those colors did way back when. Your's is striking, long ago wasn't. What's Black Code though?
  18. The safe cosmetic act is coming out. A place to watch and remain updated is by going here: http://essentialu.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/06/safe-cosmetics-act-hr-2359-expected-to-online-by-monday.html If I'm not mistaken one of these people was involved the last time. Maybe I'm wrong (would like to think so, but these are government people.)
