  1. Yes, I haven't found a good place for display stands. Know of any?
  2. No. Wicking up means pay attention to your fragrance. You can, however, possibly use too much dye, but unless it's half a bottle or more (exaggeration) you will be fine as long as you aaren't using pigments.
  3. Yes, glass or tile. We'll be using tile I think.
  4. Ask for Alan or Nachelle if you call Peak. Don't listen to the others even though I'm sure they hire people and make sure they are educated.
  5. Use a chopstick with a paper towel wrapped around it. It should work fine. Chops vary is size and thickness.
  6. Yes, it is the same, but there are differences in the different kinds of micro. I would melt it and you may have to paint it onto one slab and mash together. Keep a heat gun handy should you need to heat the sides (lightly) before meshing together. I would say get a paintbrush or popsicle stick and apply it. You may have to vice grip (so to speak) these together (find something that works) and wait for the wax to cool down and glue together so to speak. Try taking two pieces of wax and glue them together with the other type of glue you were thinking about and see if that even works. If you go either way, I'm thinking you may want to overdip both methods to help form a better seal for your finish. It won't solve all, but it may just be an extra bondage option.
  7. What kind of heat will you apply inside? Thing is you might be better off using some micro wax as a glue. Not sure that heat gun wax inside will even stick to wax. It may, but it will eventually yellow.
  8. LOL Cindy. No slapping necessary. I may look at doing one if there is enough interest.
  9. I haven't put any in candles. Want to, but I love the stuff in B&B so much: Instant Karma (I believe it is) ... lurve this and iMO way better than others Sanguigno Orange & Patch (I could drown in it) Ultraviolet ... fabulous Tonic I really enjoyed. Hope the reformulated is as good Acadia Homecoming was quite lovely (but needs to be used up quickly with its expiration date) I loved Cashmere Cedarwood Mint (nice, fresh and mmm) Enchanted Moon was one of my favs, but no one elses lol Full Moon (Fabulous in soap) If you like rich and warm the Mayan Gold was pretty dang good (moves in soap though) Polo Black (just flat sexy, but not tailored for CP ... I hear it does well in HP though) Savannah wind The Schezer one is very nice OOB (I can't spell the thing but I do love the fragrance) Zen Tea (don't pass it up!) I've yet to try Night Spirit and I think it was Winter Solstice. They have some others I would be interested in trying eventually. I have too much to go through of theirs as is.
  10. Wax bowls are heavily scented and fragrance a room/home/space (supposed to). This is not an original idea. The person who makes wax pottery bowls does a remarkable job. This is quite different than the Martha Stewart bowls. I'm going to the Lights & Lather conference next weekend and we're doing a class on this. You could make unscented wax bowls to hold fruits and things. I saw that on one of the websites I visited, but the directions weren't there. I think it was a Home & Garden thing.
  11. So do I. More shows. I wish all that I put into the palm one showed up more, but I will need to play with that wax more if I decide to make it a regular in anything.
  12. I still agree with Kayla on this. http://essentialu.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/07/support-or-oppose-we-continue-to-oppose-hr-2359.html#comment-form
  13. Seems to me if there is a misinterpretation then they should clean up and clarify better on the bill that is out there instead of leaving interpretation up to anyone. Sorry about italics. Damn computer has a mind of its own lately.
  14. It has been an interesting adventure to learn how to make these. It will be fun teaching the class in Pennsylvania in a week. This one is made with sandalwood amber that is unfortunately no longer carried by ICS. Lavender.
  15. Entire bill has been posted unless there have been changes made already. And OMG NO!!! What is the guild thinking? And I'm a member there to boot.
  16. They make it sound that way, because you do have to as far as I understand. Organic was overplayed and thus underwent regulation and the ability to freely use the word any more. It doesn't matter if all of your ingredients are labeled organic, you still need the official stamp or I believe you can get socked a heavy fine.
  17. Hey stranger! HOw are you? I don't know about Upland. I haven't heard anything about them since people were asking like a year ago. Business is ok. Could be better if gas prices would oh drop lol. We're still hanging in there. I am not buying stuff for the rest of the year unless you have 5 lbs of Candle Science's Apple and Maple Bourbon lol. I have too much I have been ordered to use up. This time I had to agree with the scolding I got lol.

  18. Unfortunately Pourette is no more, but when they had a wild chamomile, I loved it. You might see if Denise is going to carry the Blue Chamomile that Southern Soapers used to have.
  19. Well the swirl is gorgeous and I bet the waiting is excrutiating lol. Sounds like an interesting FO combination.
  20. They aren't exactly designed to do that. Now I follow.
  21. Could be that or could be from a dirty mold, but I will say it's mostly likely caused by some trapped air that a heat gun on your mold will release.
