  1. LMAO! I don't think patch would help this. No particular theme. I was just wondering about the first two scents together, but figured it needed something different.
  2. I thought about both of those. Looks like I better fish out more test tubes and we'll just see lol!
  3. Nothing against any of the waxes. There should be a niche for everything, however, Colorado seems to have a lot of that green-hug-a-tree-species.
  4. Find Candle Making A Step by Step Guide from Beginner to Expert by Bob Sherman ... look on Amazon to see if any are still in print.
  5. LOL! I don't order just one bottle from anywhere. I actually thought I had Peak's tuberose, but I couldn't find it. Going to say what I did make has simmered down and I want to split it between amryis and oakmoss or an oakmoss and amber finish.
  6. Aren't you funny. No he gets to figure out what he's going to do lol.
  7. I haven't added sandalwood yet. I want to see how the other stuff meshes first.
  8. When did you make them and how long did they sit as it was? How much per ounce of wax did you put in as well ... for starters.
  9. Ahh you snuck in there while I was typing and just thinking about that lol.
  10. 75 drops Plumeria 25 drops Coconut Milk 25 drops Calypso Orchid 5 drops Ginger EO (that's where the sharp note came in w/ less of above mix, but may add more now) 15 drops Spring Rain (had no ocean and didn't want to try driftwood, but a nice salt note might be good) 15 drops Briar Rose (I had no tuberose, but had primrose and might try swapping that in there instead) 10 drops Lime EO (this is what took the bite out. This smells pretty sickly sweet lol. Now it needs to be grounded. I am contemplating a sandalwood base, but maybe, just maybe, it wants something else.
  11. Was just going to report that ginger gives it a sharp note. Here's what I've got in it so far: (Will add your suggestions CBE next) 60 drops Plumeria 15 drops Coconut Milk 10 drops calypso orchid (might need more orchid though) 5 drops Ginger EO (that's where the sharp note came in) In fact, coconut milk is not predominanting. This is hinting it is there, but thinking maybe adding a little more CM.
  12. I just want a different scent than what's out there lol! I must find a test tube though!! I have a black orchid that would go nicely I think. And anyone can do a make a scent thread (just saying lol)
  13. Just to say we did it and to see what gets created. I don't care how many notes we have in it and I don't want to know what company we have to get something from ... if you say simply say vanilla, we'll play with it and move on etc. So here's how we can do this (and if I have it, I will likely do drops into a test tube and see if another scent baby can be born) ... we'll start with a fragrance or essential oil and each person to follow, add something you think will enhance that scent. Just one fragrance/scent/essential oil to the mix and let's see what we come up with say up to eight scents down the line. So I want to create something that says Vacation (and I don't want to buy it in a bottle. I want something different.) I'm thinking Plumeria with Coconut milk ... add on ... please ...
  14. Supplies by Star is a very good supplier ... thought I would toss that out there in case you have not heard of her.
  15. What do you mean? Now sure what coor is. Or was that color? I'm using liquid dyes.
  16. Well my bad on misreading that. Yep, that's too expensive.
  17. Anyone heard of a combo of water, carbomer and fragrance to make this and if so, any idea on a formula?
  18. That I could, Julia, lol. I need coverage though and I envy Maggie. However, I don't think I want to use $60 stuff either. I thought paying $25 for what I have now was crazy.
  19. The AAA-Chem one is? When I looked it was $90 something. I swear.
  20. Can't say that's in any of the products i got, but one of these that I'm testing made my leg break out I believe. It had to be something that the doc had as a sample is my thought as those were chemical based.
  21. I'd still file a complaint with your card and try to get them to refuse the charge. Since when did BCN start doing that? I haven't missed ordering from them for years apparently. Nobody guesstimate buys. That's ridiculous! Sounds more like I'm PMSing. I think I'll charge $25 today and later having a bunch of chocolate chip cookies and saying, I think I'll just charge this one $12.
  22. Get different blue scents lol. I'm not a fan of blueberry muffin. I guess I'm just tired of it .... but Red: Raspberry and strawberry combo (more raspberry though) white: vanilla with a splash of coconut and a hint of peach Blue: A mix of of the blackberry brulee with a heavier dose of coconut and call it something else. Pina Coladas can come in virgin form. I wouldn't negate the fragrance from your choices for white.
  23. Sweet grass would work for it also I think.
  24. What's $122.50? Coconut or palm? You could look into AAA-Chemicals. Their coconut is at $90 something for 50 lbs.
  25. Whatever happened to red as cherry? I've been thinking on this but I just want an All-American scent and not a July 4 scent. Since you're going for July 4 though: Red: Black Cherry White: Coconut Cream Blue: (Everyone picks blueberry so...) Blue Sugar. Only problem is a strong black cherry will knock out all of the scents. But another blue could be Blue Raspberry.
