I was contemplating putting in an order at The Candle Source but wanted to ask first if anyone finds any of these scents to be a 'twin' of a scent somewhere else? I did search the twin thread and also did a candle source search but no one has really said if an oil is comparable to another one somewhere else. I just didn't want to end up buying scents I already have or know what they are like, KWIM! Thanks all!

Well, ok, but I do believe the FRENCH QUARTER is in NEW ORLEANS and you can't get more SOUTHERN than that can you????? So why wouldn't you want a FRENCH vanilla coming from SOUTHERN scents?

I just can't figure this scent out. Its definitely a love/hate relationship! LOL I pick up an apple type scent, then there is a slight pine scent that my dh picks up but its weird. I don't think I've ever sold one candle in this scent so that probably tells me something...think I'll probably pass on it next time! Hey or maybe I could just change the name and it would sell like hotcakes, who knows, its happened before!

Hi all, Was considering doing an outside farmers market from may til october 2 days a week. I make pure soywax candles without any dye in them and my biggest concern is them turning yellow in the sunlight. I know I would have to have a tent/topper of somekind but is that enough protection? Has anyone done outside markets with soy candles and have you had problems with them yellowing? Thanks for any input.

Really, and do you actually do that? Boy if I was browsing on a site on the internet and all of a sudden I receive a message by someone asking if I need help because they are watching me that would make me RUN right out of that website. But then again I am the type that gets irritated when store clerks come up and ask me if I need help, if I needed help I would have come and asked for it! Nope, I wouldn't like that one bit!

FOH has a red currant and thyme tea that is a BBW type. It smells awesome too.

Those are probably the best looking votives and packaging I've ever seen on this forum! Very well done.

Since you are going to order bears from bcn how about trying their Cool Water FO? I have a candle in the bathroom in that scent and it really works in there. Otherwise a more 'natural' type scent like cedar, rain, moss, patchouli, sandalwood etc...would be my choices. If those don't work for you I would try a twigs and berries or the wildberry zinger tea from bcn, or the grapefruit vanilla from WYW that bcn carries! Oh so many choices! LOL

Don't forget a "He is Risen" type scent...you could try a frank and myrrh type and mix it with something else if you want to be a bit different than the Christmas scents...or a manly type scent...just a thought!

I have to agree with you guys, sure I might get into a prebuy when it is something I already use, but if its something new, then no I wouldn't risk the money, I'd be more interested in a sample to test it first...but then again, it had better be something that just sounds way to good for me to be interested enough in even trying a sample. I have a feeling I know which FO company you are all talking about here too...my feeling is if you are doing this pre-buy for an entire month (I think that was how long this one was lasting) but you can't generate enough interest to even meet the minimums then why would you think these scents are even going to go over when you stock them? She sure does keep buying up these 'no name' companies too doesn't she!!!!

I would have to say that BCN's Wildberry Zinger Tea could pass as the best Mulberry scent out there...

So YOU most certainly DO NOT complain about the high gas prices in this country then right? You DO NOT complain about the increase in the price of groceries then right? You DO NOT complain about the expense of ANYTHING then right? You know, they all have overhead, families to feed and can't be exected to work for free! And you most certainly would never complain about the high shipping costs in this business then right? Wow that's just great, you wouldn't dream of complaining about anything! Kudos to you, and pat yourself on the back! I highly doubt anyone here has forgot what it takes to run a business..for crying out loud thats what we all are doing...running a business! Thereasa, I totally agree with you too, we will not sit here and be chastised for wanting a sale on some oils! As for the original post here, I haven't heard of any Daystar sales other than what has already been posted, a scent or two being on sale.
