  1. Thank you, I will look into that one! I keep burning this McCall's and can't get over how yummy it smells. Its really strong too!
  2. I've noticed the prices go up and down depending on what kind of sale she is having that week. I have receipts of orders where I paid a certain price, then will notice a "sale" and go look at the oils I normally buy and they will have increased in price so you really aren't getting 'sale prices' on some of the oils when its been increased for the sale. She discontinues ALOT of oils too so becareful when you find one you really like, it may not last long!
  3. This one surprised me, didn't sound at all like a Med Fig from the description but Oak Leaves & Acorns--MMS is the exact same thing as Mediterranean Fig from MC (and the others Med Fig)Nice play on a name tho! Sounded really interesting. Also wanted to add White Zinfandel-MC & Blackberry Fizz-JS smell very similar & Spiced Plum-MC & Pink Peppercorn-JS smell very similar
  4. I'm a die hard Patchouli fan and I am not crazy about that Pumpkin Patchouli. Just something about it I didn't care for.
  5. Well all Indian fry bread is, is bread dough that is flattened out in your hands and fried in oil to make a flat round piece of fried bread. (In my neck of the woods anyway)LOL! Then it is usually sprinkled with cinnamon sugar or we spread butter on it and fresh strawberry jam. You can also fry it up and put taco fixings on top of it, that is awesome! I would start with a bread scent and then mix in some cinnamon sugar scents. Millcreek has a fresh baked bread scent I believe. HTH!
  6. I love the Wilson's Shortbread scent in the McCall's candles. Has anyone ever come across a fragrance oil comparable to this scent? I would love to find it. Its described as a buttery-baked cookie, ya, that doesn't help does it! LOL
  7. Where is Fancy Cat located? They only have phone numbers on the website, no city. It states you can prebuy this oil in 16 oz sizes.
  8. Thanks guys! Its funny how some Suppliers are so popular on this forum and others have never been mentioned!
  9. Ok thanks dee....and your right, "I do not need another supplier"!!! LOL....the funny thing is I've looked at that site you referred to many times and I have never noticed this name before! I really need to be much more observant!
  10. I came across a supplier I have never heard of and was wondering if anyone here has ever used them or heard of them. The name is Apples, Woods and Berries. They have some really nice sounding oils for soaping. www.awbsupplies.com
  11. HI earthfriendly! Can you tell me where you read it was being dc'ed? I have looked on their site and on their forum but I didn't see it. Just wondering if its listed with others that are being dc'd or just this one is. Thanks!
  12. I agree with the Applberry Oak, that appeals to me big time, but the Hillbilly Homebrew just doesn't make any sense to me. I could never figure out why that name was used for that scent in the first place. When I hear Hillbilly Homebrew the first thing I think of is Moonshine, NOT apple cider!
  13. I have noticed in the gb 415 pure soywax that I use I can't get a good strong true cinnamon scent either. Must be soy huh? I've tried cinnamon sticks and red hot cinnamon and hardly get a hot throw in soy.
  14. Don't know if this was already posted but I'll add it anyway! BCN-Pomegranate and Just Scents-Cupid Identical scents! In soywax and oob!
  15. Well if it was me and being they are the original candles from Grama's wedding 60 years ago, I would leave them exactly how they are, burn them at the service, then pack them and put them away in a hope chest for hopefully my daughters wedding etc...I wouldn't do anything else to them to 'restore' them. They are a treasured heirloom so to speak, the aged yellow spots would make them more beautiful to me! That's just my opinion tho!
  16. :laugh2: Now that's one job I wouldn't want to have! LOL!!! Oh my, I don't think the 'Dirty Jobs' guy would want to do it either!!! :laugh2:
  17. BCN sells a cp kit, has everything you need even the lye. There is also a great tutorial on their forum if interested, otherwise follow E's tutorial here.
  18. You can also add Millcreeks Mediterranean Fig to this also! Same scent!
  19. Business is Business!!!!!!! Wanting to 'bother' them or not, you have a business to run and you are paying them for a product/service. Its up to them to provide that service you are paying for wether by them or if something is going on they are responsible for finding someone who can run it etc...Is there a phone number?
  20. Well that's a good day at the office! LOL
  21. I have tried both BCN and MC's lotions and I prefer Millcreeks! It is much richer feeling, creamier, just more luxurious feeling to me. I am intrigued by the KY bases tho and may just have to try them.
  22. Well I use gb415 pure soywax and have found many many many strong awesome smelling scents from JS. Its just going to come down to testing them and finding out if you like them or not. Pretty much every supplier has oils that some love and others find weak. With JS oils I have found many that will throw right away and others that require a few week cure time (I don't care for those) and others that are just fake smelling, so its all about personal opinion. I have also found oils that do the same thing at other suppliers, throw strong right away, require a long cure time or just don't smell right. She carries soooo many scents you will find many that will work for you, many many many in fact! Check out her forum on her site, there you will find tons of opinions on scents!
  23. Vicks vapor rub works good to keep the gnats away. We rub it behing our ears, etc...to keep those pests away! I also used to wear Patchouli oil just straight oil as a 'perfume' dabbed on my wrists, neck etc, and always noticed the bugs didn't bother me as much as they did others.
  24. I use fo and olive oil, I have not had any smoking (steaming) nor have I had evaporation like when you use water. Oil doesn't evaporate does it? At least if it does its very slow as its never been and issue, so I don't worry about the junky, black, sticky burning mess like you get if you don't pay attention to it when you use water, I've always had to dump it out to put new scents in.
