  1. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. As for sugar spruce my favorite and strongest version was from brambleberry called Santa spruce I think. It was awesome in pure soy.
  2. Hi all. Looking for a new Christmas scent. What is your favorite one? Not looking for pine scents though! Thanks
  3. I have been searching and can't find it so thought I'd ask here...anyone come across an oil that smells like pound cake, almonds, cinnamon and cream cheese frosting? Thanks for the help its always appreciated.
  4. Has anyone smelled the Millcreeks version of Patchouli AND ALSO the Moonworks version of Patchouli? I have tried MC's so I'm wondering if it is similar to Moonworks at all...thanks!
  5. Thanks for the input! It is probably my nose tho, I will look into it!
  6. Does anyone else smell bananas in the sweet pomegranate & orange oil from Just Scent? I finally got around to pouring this one in soywax and thats about all I get out of it is fruity bananas. I don't think it smells very strong either and its supposed to be super strong. Hmmm, anyone else? I'm not picking up a pom scent or an orange scent. Thanks for any input.
  7. I stopped using Lard for this reason, I could never get rid of the lard smell. Even bars that were well over a year old...still smell lard! Yuck! I tried everything to get rid of that smell, not over heating, using less, other brands etc...and still couldn't get rid of it! I quit using it since my nose must just be prone to picking up that lard scent. Gag!
  8. I have used this in pure soywax and find it to be light in throw. Same with a few other Lush dupes...to light in the hot throw. Disappointing as they smell so good. I love Lush but IMO, some of these dupes need to be stronger for use in soy and for cp soap. Now this is just my opinion of course, and I do like a candle that you can smell in the whole room when you walk into it so take it for what its worth. Can't comment on use in paraffin.
  9. The absolute best pine scent is the Fragrance Oil Heaven (now available at Elements) Rocky Mountain Christmas...make sure you get the actual FOH scent listed under FOH scents, for the one I am talking about, this one is NOT the former flickers scent...Best seller! Everyone loves it. HTH
  10. Redneck Woman Gretchen Wilson (lol) Country Girl Apron strings Calico Prairie Winds I don't know...just some that came to mind with the country theme!
  11. Thats what I noticed too...I can't sell food scents to save my life around here, looks like I will pass on them!
  12. I let the manuka lavender cure at least 4-5 days before test burning it in pure soywax.
  13. It has a warm powdery smell to me. Grama's Quilt Quilted Memories Farmhouse Quilting Bee Daydreaming Grama's Trunk Welcome Vintage Lace I think I like Vintage Lace the best. HTH
  14. I've tried a few different Lavender fragrance oils, such as bcn's, MC's, and real Lavender essent. oil, and by far the best smelling lavender is the Manuka Lavender from Elements. It is a lavender and honey scent that is so good, it does great in soywax too. The honey just gives it a warmth that can be lacking in other 'sharp' lavender scents. It doesn't have a flowery smell at all either, its just the perfect lavender honey scent!
  15. Yep, me too! Couldn't wait to go see what all the hype was about with this twilight woods scent, went in to the bbw store, put the lotion on my hands from the tester and about died.......yuck......I hate the sensual amber scent and thats all I could smell...couldn't get over to the sink to 'try out' their soap fast enough! LOL! Thought it was going to be some great new scent but it wasn't!
  16. Ok, I recently smelled the patchouli honey oil from elements (formerly flickers oil) and kept thinking to myself that I have smelled this before...it was so familiar. Then it finally came to me...Angel-type FO from BCN...anyone else think this oils smells like the Angel perfume dupe fragrance oil? Don't know if they are the exact same but boy they sure seem similar!
  17. Not a chocolate scent but if you are ordering from NG you gotta try the Blue Hawaii, its awesome and its strong in lotion and strong in soywax. Totally takes you away to sunny beaches! Strong on the coconut, pineapple and cherries! Love this one! Try it you won't be disappointed!
  18. Ok, I just came here to post about this very thing and there was already a post about it! LOL! I was testing this scent in pure soy and I kept thinking, 'what smells like fish in the house'...gross...then my husband came upstairs and says "what smells like fresh fish?" Yep, it was this candle. When burning it stinks just like fresh wet slimy fish! Gag! Atleast now I have a good scent to make candles for my son to take out to the fish house with him!!! Ewww...its really weird how the cold scent is a nice cucumbery, citrusy type scent but boy when its hot, look out...fishey!!!
  19. ah-soy, have you even smelled the ng version yet?
  20. I have MC's SOCP and just received a wooden rose with NGs SOCP oil on it in my last order from NG and it smells exactly the same to me. HTH
  21. Does real straight sugar even have a scent? How would you duplicate a scent that isn't there? Just curious as I've never smelled anything in the sugar bag! LOL
  22. If you are talking about sweet annie as in the 'weed' then Daystar has a scent called sweet dani that is supposed to smell like it. HTH!
