  1. www.thesage.com or www.lotioncrafter.com have both. HTH!!
  2. Peaks liquid dyes are oil based, and for candles only. I've used the Wiltons with much success, but didn't want all those ingredients on my label, so I now use straight up FD&C's. These can be purchased at MMS, WSP, and the Pigment Lady. HTH!
  3. Way to go woman!!!!!! You're such an inspiration! Now, prop those feet up and relax for the rest of the month!
  4. I think so Donna.. With the egg it's much different than a normal superfat though. Kinda funky!
  5. Definetly no hotter than 200.. All the sap will leach from the wood and stick to you every time you touch it!
  6. Some extracts are oil based, some are alcohol based. The oil based ones are ok, as long as you are 100% sure it's an edible one.
  7. Yup.. Do it once, and do it right. Will cost you a lot less in the long run in both time and energy!
  8. Cetyl is normally used in conjunction with other emulsifiers. Used alone, your scrub will be hard as a rock!
  9. Sent you a list of links I have, and hope you get your border back quickly!
  10. It does feel a bit weird, and the lather is different. But it works!
  11. Thanks so much! Think I'll give it a shot first thing after the holidays! I think it would be fun!!!
  12. I like using hat boxes from Hobby Lobby... They have the most awesome designs!
  13. I've tried them.. Yup, about 2 hours. But I have to admit they smelled fantastic. Don't tell anyone I said that...lol
  14. Hi Kerri! First, welcome to the boards and thank you for sharing your recipe! In looking at it, and after googling it, may I ask where you get your potassium polyacrylate? None of the suppliers that are coming up that I am familiar with, but I really want to try this!
  15. Ummm Umm.... Let me think here.. Pardon the smoke.. lol I don't do CPHP, I do straight up CP. Out of all the funky things I soaped while on this little spree, the mayo was my favorite. Had a weird texture to it, but let me super totally moisturized. 11 months later none of those soaps are any uglier than when I made them..lol No dos or visible mold or anything. (wow I can't believe it's been that long!) Jen, I did take pics and post them in the gallery. Now, where's that avacado I meant to soap the other day...lol
  16. Do NOT put the CF yellow jugs in the microwave.. 3 weeks ago I caught my microwave on fire with one of those. I didn't open the door, as I knew the oxygen would feed the fire.. But ya'll would have laughed like crazy at me yelling at the kids to get out of the house and me taking my stance with the fire extinguisher. I was a mad woman! Thank goodness it went out quickly, but it could have been waaaay bad.
  17. Any method can be used for the recipes. CP, HP, ITMHP, CPHP, etc.
  18. Yup, pre-made labels are would be durn near impossible to find. I don't have a 4 oz container where I actually put 4 oz of stuff in, it's either over or under. That would have to be changed, the contact info, the warnings, etc. If you're stressed for time, I'd recommend getting one of the the graphic designers here on CT to make you a label for a fee.
  19. Wow.. Even with the fuzzy pic it still looks fantastic! I think I ordered this one...lol
  20. I think so too.. The longer palm stays warm, the more defined the feathering appearance is. Try insulating your mold with a hand towel, and pour the exact same temp, same fo, same everything.
