  1. Honey, if your eyes were burning grating the soap, then you know something is terribly wrong. And since you feel your measurements of lye were correct, you'll really never know what the problem is. And since you don't know what the problem is, there is just no safe way to fix it. Please be on the safe side and chuck it.
  2. Thank you MarieJeanette.. Very nicely put!
  3. Thanks Amy! Just corrected it! And thanks for everyone for the comments! I'm soooo excited about this!
  4. Yup! I used mine at 1 oz ppo and it came out ok.. Kinda chalky feeling though. I used plain unflavored, think next time I'll go for the blueberries or something weird!
  5. Yup.. I agree with Blaze. That's why citric acid is in lotions, liquid soaps, and shower gels, to bring the ph down. CP soap is naturally high in ph, so I can understand the reasoning for bringing it down. It doesn't use lye, as it's not an oil or butter. It doesn't fizz, as the fizzing comes from a reaction with the baking soda. I've never heard of it being used as a surfactant, but haven't looked into it either.
  6. Black, black, and more black! I think the colored words can get very hard to ready very quickly..
  7. Ahhh.. That worked! TY Robin! Guess I had one of my famous brainfarts..lol Ok, next question... How do I get it to come up where there's no scrollbar on the right and bottom?
  8. Ok, I resized all my soap pics on the website to 475x3.. (give or take a few on that number..lol) They were huge, and covered the whole screen when you clicked the "click to see full size" link. But they were 1000x800 then. Now, even at the smaller size, they still cover the screen! I refreshed! I swear I did! Can someone please go look at the pics and see if when you click the soap pics are still covering the whole screen? Thanks! LPS OH MY Soaps Page
  9. Thanks so much for the comments ya'll! I definetly plan on getting professional pics done when the pocketbook allows. Changed a few things on it too, added a soap collection pic on the home page, changed the button order, took the shoppers online button off, added a few more pics. Three more pics and I'll be done! (well, until I add the next items!!) Got the cart working super smooth! I'm sooooo excited!!!!!!! And Kaybee... You don't know how much I appreciate your help with that name.. It's so me, I don't understand why I didn't think of it! Thanks girl!
  10. Straight up cocoa absolute is just simply the best.. Mmmmmm...
  11. I do make candles, but have a new wax and am playing with it, as it's definetly different than the old wax. They'll be up there in a month or 2 though! Am wanting professional pictures, and have to save up for them!
  12. OMG I think it's finally about ready! Need to take a few more pics for a few potions, but other than that, I'd love some honest opinions! Lotions and Potions and Soaps Oh My!
  13. I think if A's soaps sucks, then just mention B soap and you're good to go. Why mention A? There's no need! Unless someone specifically asks about A's soap. Then that's a whole new green dog.
  14. Natasha, your "new soap fragrances for November" pics on either side look smashed in.. Now, I have no clue on how to fix it..lol I have to say for the record, I think you're crazy.. Have you tested blueberry and and creme brulee together? That's an awful lot of scents to have gone through every combination you know the customers are gonna come up with. I do like the feel of the site.. Very quick to load and love the colors! But you're still crazy!!!! LOL!
  15. Yup, I do 170 and then a few minutes ina cool water bath to keep the colors from bleeding and give it a glossier finish.
  16. Very much so.. Mine is pending now, but I don't think you'll be dissappointed if you order this one!
  17. Looks like she took it back down while she fixes the little stuff.. You'll get it girl, I'm doing it right now too and it's just freakin nuts!
  18. Taylored Concepts has an exact dupe.. In fact, I'm 99% sure I have some for sale in the classys. It's fantastic, and I hate to part with it!
  19. Absolutely not. Cyclo is is silicone, and covers and protects, where tro works like an emulisifier to make oils water soluable. I'd try polysorbate 80 if you have some, otherwise, what you have listed isn't comparable.
  20. Scent By Spirit Teas does it.. And she's a doll to work with! http://www.sbsteas.com/
  21. You sure can! Babassu, coconut, and palm kernel are all cleansing oils, and can be interchanged or mixed for good "bubbleage". Can't wait to hear about the soap! WOOHOO!!!
  22. Hi Karen! Welcome to CT! The soapguild has just put together a insurance plan for us! It's about 600 bucks less than what I was paying for an equivalent policy. HTH! http://www.soapguild.org/public/insurance.php
  23. Thanks Nicky, I didn't see that the first go round! Curiouser and curiouser!
  24. Yup, it is really that easy. Even easier, if they pay via paypal, you can print out all the customs forms, an slide them in the clear stick on envelope at the PO. Ask for a few extra envelopes, and they'll pick up the package at your door next time! Be sure you get their phone number too, it's required on international shipments..lol
