  1. I'm so glad you like it!!!!! You've got me blushing again!!!
  2. Just caught something else, on your website, your co. name is listed as "Scents by elina" In your header on the top, there's no s at the end of Scents.
  3. In your soap descriptions, there are two different fonts used. Not sure if you meant to do that. Congrats on the site, can't wait to see as you add to it!
  4. Maybe ship with a plain cheap cap and have them put the pump in?
  5. http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/StoreCategory.aspx?CategoryID=1456&CategoryName=+Press+%26+Seal+Liners Is this what you mean?
  6. Why not split that one lb batch into 3 oz dixie cups with a little colorant in each to see what the color morphs to?
  7. Hey! SB 36! Guess what! You're logged in as SB 36! Log out silly goose!
  8. Yup.. No brown water.. I even have to think for a sec about making yellow bombs! Thanks Funky! I'm so glad you like them!
  9. Yup.. Especially with something fizzy... I want proof after the time it takes for that BB to dissolve that it was there!
  10. NG and KY both have fantastic scents. As for preferece between ky and essentials by catalina, I would suggest getting a sample size of each and see which you like better!
  11. WOOHOO!!!! You used the sand in the crack line! You rock Grumpy!!!!
  12. My gosh... All the lovespell haters! Man ya'll are nuts! LOL! Now if it comes with petals, this chic won't carry it at all anymore! YUCK!!
  13. Whoa.. Had to search deep in the bookmarks for this one.. Print out this sheet, and match them up! Printing one out for me before I loose this sheet again! http://www.essentialsupplies.com/pdf/cap_guide.pdf
  14. I've never used them, but might it be easier to paint the inside of the mold first, then fill it with soap? Maybe put them in 1/2 oz dropper bottles so you could lay it in thick? Just wondering out loud here, don't shoot!
  15. It's more meant for full bodied hair MsDammit. On flat hair, I'm afraid it might weigh it down. When I get ready to get reformulating to add one for finer hair, can I send you a sample? It'll be a few months though... Appreciate all the comments ladies! I'm still blushing!!!
  16. Yup, you can either rebatch the whole thing, or do the chunk thing like E recommended. But, about the EO. Citrus EO's, as much as I love them, tend to fade horribly in soap. I'd recommend using no more than 1.25 oz ppo total, and if you need more than that either anchor it with a bit of patchouli, or blend it with a lime FO.
  17. It's kinda like candlemaking. Making a candle is easy. Anyone can do it! But getting it right takes practice and patience. And one more good thing about soap... NO FREAKIN WICKS!!! Lol!! Check out this link for common soap terms http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1797 And the CP/HP debate? I'd do one of each and see which one you like better.. They each have their own postives and negatives. But you end up with the same thing. Soap!
  18. Ya'll are so making me blush! Thank you so much!!!
  19. Well, 1/3 oz is .33 ounces. So you would take .0033 and mutiply it by the percentages give. Granted, you'd have to have a super accurate scale, but it will work! You could also take those small number, and find an online conversion calculator and do it in milliliters for the cyclo and fco, and convert to drops for the fo. HTH!
  20. By working in percentages, this method allows you to make as much or as little as you want. Here's the breakdown. 50% Cyclo 48% FCO 2% FO So, If I want to make 16 ounces of spray, I'll move the decimal point over two notches to the left, and mutiply by 16. So it'll look like this: .50 cyclo x 16 = 8 oz .48 FCO x 16 = 7.68 oz .02 fo x 16 = .32 oz If you want to make 135 ounces, just take out the 16, and mutiply by 135. This way, you can make the exact same recipe whether you need 2 oz or 2000 oz of finished product.
  21. Yup, I make a template filling up the whole page of those labels, moving my margins higher up and wider and down. (Gotta use every inch of possible, I'm a cheapskate!) Outline them all in very very light gray, and get out the cutter and cut just inside the lines. This can be done by right clicking and hitting format text box or right clicking and going to table options, then borders and shading. Makes cutting soooooo much easier! And not having to carry 20 different label sizes? Fantastic! If you need more of a step by step, let me know and I'll be more than happy to help!
  22. Why don't you get a full sheet and make your own label in word? Since I went to full sheets I've never looked back..
  23. I know girl.. It really hurts to toss a batch. But in the case, I don't see a point in saving it. 1. I know she has buttloads of soap that rocks. 2. Using all this batch is gonna drive her nuts, and we all know, who would want to use the same scent all the time just to use a batch? 3. There would be no learning process in keeping it, as she's not sure what's wrong with it, there's no method to save it. Ok wait.. The learning process would be on the process of rebatch, but I still would chuck most of it after I rebatched it. Good practice for when she wants to rebatch an ugly colored or whatever kind of batch that is safe.
  24. Meridith, with her olive being thicker than normal, it may have been a bad batch of oil, or blended with something else mysterious. Knowing me, I'd play with it to see if I might be able to get it right, but I wouldn't give any of these soaps to anyone no matter what. And I don't know about you, but I have enough soap in my bathroom to keep me happy for months if not years, and wouldn't want to waste much more money on a doomed batch like this. It would more than likely just sit there and go to waste anyhow.. Eyes burning just tells me there's something major going on here, and I just wish I knew how to help her!
