Nice to meet you. I've been married for almost 20 yrs. & have 1 dd who is 10. Dh is a builder specializing in windows, siding & all things exterior. I home school my dd (gr.4) & work a few days here & there doing newslet. editor -producer /personal asst. kind of stuff for my MK Sales Dir. who is also a dear friend. Don't worry- if u dont ask, I won't try to sell it to you. I'm not like that. I enjoy writing for Angels Weekly, blogging and learning about people.

I consider myself to be pretty open minded which is probably why I like everything in general. But as far as style I can say i'm more modern than country. But my Kitchen is barns/cows/roos with a modern realistic twist. I try to decorate the rest of my home in AsianJungle style. Reds, broad leafed plants, bamboo, black or tarnished metals, dk woods, mirror, a bit of anim. print, & candles everywhere in unique holders! I love air fresheners, Dk chocolate, Orange, and lilly flavors/scents.

  1. While I really like the 'His Way' line name...... I think 'Men's Line' would work as a title page to help people find the products and know right away what it's all about. And then with in that page, once they get there, they are greeted with the 'His Way' line of products in all their glory. Having said that, I do think that is merely my opinion and how I might do it, but I also see nothing wrong with naming the page 'His Way' either. It's just a matter of deducting it into simpler pieces for me. But either way works perfectly fine. I'm probably not much help if I'm on the fence, lol. Site looks lovely though! :-)
  2. Was there supposed to be a link here? I was going to check it out for you, but no link.
  3. I've always found that lotions, no matter what brand or made by who, do not smell exactly the same as the body spray or perfume version by the same maker. What it is I don't know, but it seems to be something difficult to achieve in a lotion type/ cream formula.
  4. ... and it's not like fo's, wicks and dyes... no matter how 'Premium', are all natural and GOOD FOR YOU as they burn either. :-) Just saying. I was waiting for someone to say something, lol. I'm surprised it took so long. We are all very friendly but this comes up so very often and is a big topic of discussion around here.
  5. Far as the nit-picky stuff... it's actually pretty tight. I didn't go through it letter by letter like I would if you were paying me, lol... but I skimmed it pretty well and only found a few minor errors. The text on the Candlescapes page: You've made what appears to the reader as two paragraphs out of 3 sentences. I could be extra tired right now, but it seems like a whole lot of run on sentence that you could break down a bit more. On the Ordering Info page: The text about PayPal states, 'Orders are processed through PayPal to insure you information is kept secure.' Just need to add the 'r'. And lastly... and probably not that big of deal and super nit-picky.... The text at the bottom of the Container Candles page: It's not the title of anything so I don't understand the capitalization of every main word. I would either cap them all (including the minor words 'and' & 'to') or only the first letter in the sentence. But that is more of a stylistic thing I suppose; so if you like it, keep it. I love the colors.
  6. Alliteration perfection or not, that is the name of the business though right? Or are you up for changing that? I was under the impression that you are looking for a catch phrase to go along with the name you have decided on. When you mentioned stitching and scents together it made me think of this..... A stitch in time smells devine! Corny? Perhaps. Lol. The 'hook' version works great I think... EVEN if you are doing other things as well.... I'd say as long as you FEATURE the crochet stuff it'll work.
  7. I was given three sample bottles from Sally's and the first one I sniffed was the hair mask and to me, just in that instant with out really thinking too much about it, it reminded me very much of Monoi De Tahiti. The oil it's self is available to buy.
  8. I sooo do not blame you! I have this weird aversion to paying shipping that will make me spend HOURS looking around the web for something else because I just can't bring myself to pay the rate. I do understand that it is a necessary evil for a lot of people for the most part. And if you sell a lot, and thus buy a lot at once, it can certainly certainly pay for it's self. But I'm just small time, and I hate shipping. And of course, I live at least a state away from all but ONE supplier and they aren't cheap by any means. So I do what I can and MAKE IT WORK. And I actually do like how you have done so.
  9. As Ecco said....Quote 'Ill second the sewing skills thing hehe =) You could always make the stuffed whatever it is a heroin addict and shoot him up once in a while =) " This is what I do actually, lol. It works. Sometimes you gotta poke a bit of a hole but that's what glue is for. :tiptoe:
  10. I've never been a fan of the Kraft style labels myself and prefer a more upscale style. So of course, I like the Silver best... But the biggest and FIRST reason I liked the silver best is BECAUSE of your company name. Silver= tin. Just made sense to me, lol. I think the jars are fine for the silver because it is a clean smooth shape so it works, BUT if you ever decided to, you could totally rock a more elegant jar!
  11. Not concerned about it either. Many times the bottom of the tart is the actual top anyways, and then the dip is actually on the bottom. Did that make sense?
  12. They sell these at a regional department store (one that is only in the Northwest) so I was able to sniff em (not actually try them) and I was not impressed one way or the other either. They do LOOK nicer than a lot of others. Dark colors, smooth wax, nice clean packaging. They seem to carry an assumption of higher quality... maybe it's just the French name, lol. For instance if you were gifting them, the recipient would probably be impressed. We are just a hard audience. :-)
  13. Sometimes I have tarts (from all over) that just last so long and I want something different, or maybe I just didn't like it enough to let it get used up... I keep all my 'spent' tart wax globs in a coffee tin and when I want to play with wax and scent, maybe try a new tart mold and make some 'new' melts for myself I will melt these all together and add my own scent (almost as though there was no scent already at all, but I realize it WILL be quite different than the original scent of the current FO i'm adding once it blends with the leftover scent) It's always a fun surprise. At the very worst, it's not always a pretty color... but eh, no big to me. Otherwise it's a lot of fun to play with it that way and it works PERFECTLY fine. It doesn't matter that the waxes are different... it all melts down just the same and hardens just the same. (I also do what Candybee does by adding fo directly to the melted wax as it is in the warmer) As you mentioned, the re- heating can diminish the strength, but if it's just for you, you can just do your best to keep it low and slow and try not to weaken the original strength. Definitely keep the temps as low as you can, and just be patient. But of course, like Wessex said, if you are truly testing these for retail or scent research purposes, it wouldn't be a true indicator to remelt and re add.
  14. I've always loved them. They are one of the only places I order from actually. Good quality, decent prices. Great variety. I've never seen anything bad said about them what so ever. I like their Dupes a lot. If you do a search on here for SOS you will find many threads discussing every one's opinions and experiences. (p.s. I only do MP, bath & body and wickless, so it may be different with the CP and candle folks though.)
  15. How brave should we be....? Im thinking something with a 'Dirt' or Earth essence.
