  1. They are not real new... I get them at Candle Cacoon and I have been getting them there for a year. They are great in soy ... give Nachelle a call and she can help you with them. Did I mention they are 12 inches long and her CD's are too.... nice for wicking pillars.
  2. CDN wicks are soaked in a different finish solution to neutralize the acidic properties of natural candles. You will get a larger melt pool with a CDN 12 than with a CD12.
  3. Almond OMH Coconut Lime Verbena Satsuma Guava Lovespell Yuzu
  4. I use soy for the clamshells and they pop right out.
  5. Like with any supplier of fragrance ...some you will like and some you will not like. Some of the scents I use for soy candles are purchased from BCN and have very good throw and are nice smelling scents. Their customer service is superior. I agree with David... it makes sense to buy sample size first from any f/o supplier to see if you like them.
  6. It's either too much oil or the oil hasn't been mixed in at a high enough temp. Sometimes it helps to heat the oils a bit too.
  7. I blend my own...just add some Cinnamon Red Hot to Bayberry f/o.
  8. Either a ECO 8 or CD 12 should work in the 8 oz jelly jar with EZsoy especially after a 2 week cure.
  9. For those that have used the low smoke wicks...do you notice less smoking and is the chart on WPS pretty accurate for the comparison to the regular zinc wicks regarding size?
  10. I make my confetti by putting bars of soap through a salad shooter or by grinding them up in a meat grinder. Then I stir the confetti into my CP oils and pour into molds. Or you can pour some of your ready oils into the mold, layer in a bit of confetti, pour more oils, and then layer more confetti. For M&P soap, I shave a bar of colored soap with a vegetable peeler and lay the confetti on top of a layer of poured soap and pour another layer of base on top of it. Or am I getting soap confetti confused with confetti soap?
  11. Unless you sell enough soy to warrant a pallet when buying...I think even the 100% soy changes a bit from time to time. It is a crop that is grown every year and the beans vary according the climate conditions, soils types and even the pesticides used on the field. I live in soy bean country and I often hear about the quality/quantity of crops each fall as they harvest the bean.
  12. I didn't notice any spicy smell to mine but it was nice & strong. It was tangy & tart but not spicy. I used it in soy tarts and the smell is wonderful.
  13. Guess I will give it another whirl with the zinc wicks and see what happens. I only have the LX in the size I use for votives so maybe will have to order those in larger sizes. Thanks everyone !
  14. Perfect timing for this question....I just emailed Nature's Garden for them to suggest a wick using Joy with the 8 oz square mason jar. I got a slab last month and I am still stumped on the wicking. I see they suggest zinc but in the Joy kit that you can buy with jars/wicking/joy/scent they send hemp wicks. HMMM, maybe someone can suggest a wick that will work without smoking.
  15. Laura, I see your label says soy blend...so are you putting an additive in the EZsoy or adding another wax to it.
  16. I liked the Millenium soy better than the regular El but I changed to a soy that works better for me.
  17. I cast my vote for Ezsoy also... it has the best cold/hot throw of any soy I have used and I have used alot of them.
  18. Coconut Lime Verbena from Scentworks is absolutely wonder in CP soap and soy. I think it is well worth the premier price tag. They also have Peony.
  19. My silk disolves completely in the lye water. I pull the silk into itsy pieces and soak in the the water first...then add my lye water and stir, stir, stir.
  20. I think it is the vanilla in it that is helping turn the colors funky looking.
  21. Hoping someone quickly uses it in CP soap and gives a review on it. I love this scent in my soap. I don't see it on the site... is it B&B safe? TELL ME MORE ABOUT IT !!!
  22. If you know anyone that sells Mary Kay cosmetics you can get tons a little sample pots from them. Some have lids and some just have the snap up top. I have bags of them from my last request. They are also perfect for solid lotion too.
  23. I use ECO 8 in the 8 oz jelly jar with a 2 1/2 inch diameter...so you can use that as a reference point.
