  1. Sorry that happened but thank you for posting the picture just to make all of us more aware of the dangers of lye. How did your soap turn out?
  2. I don't know how you would package to sell but I make a cooling foot bath using peppermint e/o, epsom salts and menthol crystals.
  3. I sprinkle some of these of the tops on my container candles...especially the food scents. And use them on top of my bun candles.
  4. I have been pouring my goatmilk into individual molds and preventing gell. It makes for a much lighter colored bar of soap...but any bar of goamilk soap is a luxury.. Good Luck
  5. What kind of wax do you pour, E? I can sell the tins poured with soy but not in any other kind of wax and it puzzles me also.
  6. I use Printmaster Platinum 15 for my labels and they have alot of frames as well as clipart.
  7. I add both peppermint & spearmint e/o.
  8. Shipping from BCN isn't too bad but the shipping from WSP is a killer....way over the amount it should be. I don't order from them anymore either.
  9. Bittercreek North and Wholesale Supplies Plus both carry the J223.
  10. PM me your address and I will send you 2 bars of CP soap. I don't do HP Jan
  11. I found the burgandy oxide come close to raspberry when making CP soap. Do a Google on images and you will find lots of raspberry images.
  12. As summer is winding down most people have their calendars full of events. I think the candle parties do better in the fall and winter when people spend more of their time indoors and are looking for gifts to give for the holidays. Don't give up...your busy season is ahead of you.
  13. Yes Anita, you should do a batch or two of confetti soap. The little beveled curls make a pretty soap. I make sure there are some darker pieces of soap ends or bevel ends in each batch as the darker and lighter contrast really adds to the finished bars.
  14. I have never heard of a man that didn't like his beer...so I decided to put it in soap. I use very cold flat beer for the liquid and pour the lye into it slowly. The guys love it. I use an import called Bass Ale so I call it Bass Ale Beer Soap. But any beer will do.
  15. I did mine in sort of a brushed denim blue with a fine black swirl. Very masculine looking ...it get lots of compliments!! Very long lasting scent...I have a bar in the gent's bathroom just for the scent.
  16. I use 3/4 oz ppo with my Drakkar and it is plenty strong. I haven't encountered any problems with the batches I have made.
  17. Dana, do you hand roll your buns or have a mold?
  18. Nice looking buns, Dana. They are very realistic. :)
  19. The goat milk I get is off white or has a yellow cast to it. And I get it at a farm up the road that has lots of goats ..I trade them my goatmilk soap for their milk and we are both happy with the trade. It is by far my favorite soap ... I make it with cocoa butter and it is so nice on the skin...never need body lotion.
  20. I think BCN's directions on cyclomethicone say about a 1:6 ratio and that is what I have been using. That would be 1 oz f/o to 6 oz cyclo .... Does anyone use this ratio? Wondering if I have been using too much f/o ...it smells great !!
  21. I think the fragrance retention of 1343 wax is only 3% so that would be about 1/2 oz per pound.
  22. Anita, I love your fall soaps and your swirls are so pretty.
