When I look for wick info on various websites I find such a wide array of wicks and I am confused. How does the flat ply differ from the square braid? I am using IGI 1343 and am looking for wicking that will work in a 2 inch pillar. Any suggestions?
I feel your pain...you work with EZsoy, right? I have thrown the towel in time and time again with it but the last ones I poured were beautiful and the only frosting was a bit on the top. And they burned great . I recently bought some soy candles from a lady that uses EZsoy and she really does a great job on them...don't know how she does it and I am not going to ask. The hot & cold throw is great with EZsoy so I know it can be done ... Have you talk directly Doneen at BCN? She should be able to help you over the humps and bumps.
using IGI 1343 with a 4 inch diameter pillar mold.. I have 30, 36, & 45 flat braid and the full range of all kinds of tabbed wicks. Any suggestions for me? Thanks, Jan
You can be quite creative with M&P soap. There are so many molds that you can pour the soap into or you can just color, scent and pour your melted base in layers and make a pretty soap also.
I buy from their regular line to do my CP soap. Every fragrance oil I have ordered from there has been wonderful. They give you a good idea in the descriptions of how much to add ppo for soapmaking as their scents are nice and strong and hold well in soap.
I think your customers would prefer more professional packaging. Packaging with eye appeal should be a big part of your business or hobby as well as the product it holds.
I wish their shipping to me wasn't so outrageous...it's still cheaper from my regular source when I add in the shipping. But thanks for the info...I had just got the same email and it piqued my curiousity also.
