  1. I spreadsheet them first and put them in a RED folder into top lefthand drawer. I may change to a black folder if ever I start making $$.
  2. Sara, if you are breaking even in the second year you are already a success in my mind !!!
  3. When I look for wick info on various websites I find such a wide array of wicks and I am confused. How does the flat ply differ from the square braid? I am using IGI 1343 and am looking for wicking that will work in a 2 inch pillar. Any suggestions?
  4. MP123 is J50. Natures's Garden has that statement in the description of MP123.
  5. I feel your pain...you work with EZsoy, right? I have thrown the towel in time and time again with it but the last ones I poured were beautiful and the only frosting was a bit on the top. And they burned great . I recently bought some soy candles from a lady that uses EZsoy and she really does a great job on them...don't know how she does it and I am not going to ask. The hot & cold throw is great with EZsoy so I know it can be done ... Have you talk directly Doneen at BCN? She should be able to help you over the humps and bumps.
  6. Thanks ladies, that gives me an idea of where to start on the wicking.

  11. You can be quite creative with M&P soap. There are so many molds that you can pour the soap into or you can just color, scent and pour your melted base in layers and make a pretty soap also.
  12. I have used my bucket that the lard came in, an 5 qt ice cream bucket but mostly use a stainless steel kettle.

  15. Try Robin's Rice Bran recipe in the tutorial...it's a winner everytime. PM me with your email address and I will give you a great lard recipe.
  16. A veggie soap can't have lard in it...lard is an animal fat. Coconut oil, palm oil, PKO, olive oil are vegetable oils.
  17. I buy from their regular line to do my CP soap. Every fragrance oil I have ordered from there has been wonderful. They give you a good idea in the descriptions of how much to add ppo for soapmaking as their scents are nice and strong and hold well in soap.
  18. I think your customers would prefer more professional packaging. Packaging with eye appeal should be a big part of your business or hobby as well as the product it holds.
  19. I wish their shipping to me wasn't so outrageous...it's still cheaper from my regular source when I add in the shipping. But thanks for the info...I had just got the same email and it piqued my curiousity also.
  20. You can also use 92 degree coconut for soapmaking. I think it makes a harder bar quicker.
  21. Give me everything you've got....I like both.
  22. I haven't purchased a Yank** candle for years however I love BeanPod candles.
  23. Let's think of it as the calm before the storm.
  24. It is for oils only...alot of the water will cure out of your soap.
