  1. thanks for the suggetsions! I know I need to test, test, test, I just wanted a point to start at and I already have HTP 1212 and a sample pack of HTPs. What about temp at which to add FO?
  2. Hi everyone, I am testing ezsoy out and have a few questions. I am using 8 oz square mason jars and use HTP wicks and have been using 1212 in the Ecoadvanced cb 135, any suggestions on wick size for ezsoy? Oh yeah, I use 1.5 oz fo ppw. Any suggestions on heat temp and pour temp with ezsoy? thanks for all your help. thanks, tasha
  3. Hi there, the price is 5.95 per case of 12 and lids are any where from $.15 to $.65 each. not sure about their shipping though haven't gotten that far.
  4. Hi all! Has anyone used Fillmore Containers Wholesale before? I found a great price on these jars. I use HTP wicks and would like to know what size of wicks everyone uses on a 8oz square mason jar. I have used the 8oz round and the only one that seems to work is an HTP 1212, but from what I have been reading that could possibly be too big. I have teasted 104, 105, and 126. These sizes have not produced a very good melt pool. The 126 took for ever to catch up with 2 to 3 burns. Is that normal? Is that how long it usually takes? Oh yeah I use 1 to 1.5 oz FO per pound. someone please help I need advice. thanks, tasha
  5. thanks all! I went ahead and ordered the 5 pack sample pack plus I go one free. I can't wait untill they arrive. I also purchased some ecosoya and EZsoy to test. once again thanks! Tash:D
  6. Hi all, I plan on testing the ezsoy and the ecosoya 135 and noticed that Bitter Creek had a lot of FOs. Has anyone used thes oils? How is the scent throw? Any suggestions for any of these waxes? Don't mean to ask so many questions and I will be testing both of these thourghly, just want to know your opinion. TIA, TASH
  7. Ok finally tried out the HTP 1212 and HTP 1312. The 1212 in an 8oz wide mouth mason jar did fine, I just had to burn forever to get that (like 5 hours) and the mushroom was huge and nasty looking. Any suggestions of what wick to use without a great big huge mushroom on top. I am also considering switching to a smaller mouthed jar, maybe an 8oz regular mouth. TIA, Tas
  8. Cool thanks guys! Went to Candlescience.com and they seem to a lot of cool things! It would really help if I can go pick up somewhere. I don't mind a couple hour trip and I can have my stuff that day instead of waiting for what seems like forever! Jooniper, Have you tried any of their scents yet? If you have how are they? I want to try another soy, I saw that ecosoy has a new advanced soy blend (new version) just wondering how that was. Tash
  9. Hi all, I live in Asheville, NC and would like to find out if there is a supplier near. Do any of you know? I have found one in Charlotte but not too sure about it... if you know what I mean. TIA, Tash
  10. Yeah me too. Very curious about the wax. She does have a lot of FO and I like that they are she tests them in soy. I currently use ST soy. But if there is something better I wouldn't mind trying it. The Superior soy is not expensive either.
  11. Yup, I would have to agree with Meridith on the HTP. I am burning the first 104 of this batch and it is not have a great MP at all. I will burn the 105 next and see how that goes. I also have some 1212 and 1312 so I will try these if the others don't work out. I am using ST 100% soy without color. Does the color or amount of color affect your burn of your wick? The wick itself is a good wick. Even flame and self trimming without any smoke so far. Tash
  12. Will do! I don't think I will be able to wait more than 24 hours to burn these babies! ha ha Going to burn them tonight, one in each room so I can figure the throw from this batch. So far, like I said, my house still smells like the candle. My husband came home after I had added the FO, I met him outside, we hugged, and he said that I smelled like frosting. Tash:highfive:
  13. Orange chiffon from ST is the stuff!! I admit it is the first candle I have done and I don't have anything to compair them by except for the candles I have bought but so far but it is awsome! There is a bit of frosting on them though. I do have one that I somewhat topped of and it looks great where I topped it off, so maybe I will try that next time. This was added when the wax was thick and heavy. I have not burned them yet for one, my whole entire house still smells like the candle and two, it has not been 24 hours yet. Tash
  14. Thanks Nay. I went ahead and poured 5 (small) jars. 2 of them are 104 and the other 3 are 105. I will burn one of each and test to see. I used about 2 pounds of wax with 2oz of FO (orange chiffon cake). Thanks Tasha:yay:
  15. Hello all! First batch almost in the process. I ordered the sample pack of wicks from Snowtop (the HTP pack). I am going to pour the 100% soy no additives into 8oz wide mouth jars (the short and fat ones). Any suggestions would be absolutly wonderful and much appreciated! Thanks, Tash
