  1. I started candle making with the sole intent of making it a business. I don't regret it, even though I underestimated the capital I'd need. Candle business is EXPENSIVE. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise
  2. Soooo happy I made this thread. The responses have been so helpful!! Thank you everyone!😊
  3. I'm aware that companies produce things overseas then ship them here to America. What I think is odd is making fragrance here...allegedly... then shipping to another country. I think they just wanted to add a "made in USA" feel...I have my doubts.
  4. It says: "Hand poured in Vietnam. Fragrance made in the USA"
  5. A popular candle company claims that their fragrances are made in USA and candles hand-poured in Vietnam. You mean to tell me they ship fragrance all the way to Vietnam then ship back the finished product to America? 🤣
  6. Thanks for your reply Quentin! Can you help with this scenario please? :) Let's say I have a satisfaction guaranteed policy and the customer wants to make an exchange. The customer ships the candle back to me. I know the customer would have to pay for shipping to ship it back to me. But should I require that THEY pay the shipping for me to send a new candle back to THEM? Or do I pay the shipping? I hope I'm being clear.
  7. I am creating policies for my online store and i am stuck at the return/exchanges part. How do you handle returns and exchanges? I will be selling candles
  8. Whoever said candle making was cheap lied...lol...Well it is, but starting a business ain't. I initially budgeted for $500, what was I thinking. I'm currently at the $1300 mark and I have yet to launch and sell a candle 😮 I still havemore stuff to buy. Yikes. What were your startup costs? Including testing, samples etc In full disclosure, this isn't my first business venture...I'm a serial entrepreneur; so I have a healthy appetite for risk and reward😏 The super positive side is that I've gotten good feedback from friends and family. Just letting word of mouth spread; building up my base and generating interest. Launch day is 30 days away...

  13. I am buying fragrances that I intend to use in my product line...should I be concerned about the impact that the FO shortage is having on Rustic fragrances? Would it be wise from a business standpoint...thinking outloud

  16. So after testing various FOs (from different suppliers) and wicks with Problend 600 I continue to get a fuel smell. I've discontinued use. Maybe my nose is just too sensitive.
  17. Just realized I put this in the wrong section. Anywho, thanks for the replies!!! I appreciate it!
  18. I get mine from Flaming. I've never gone anywhere else so can't compare. They work well. Personally never had one slip...yet.
  19. Goodmorning everyone, would love your expertise. I'm trying to find the proper wick for Problend 600. I will be using a 9oz ....3.6 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide jar. I've tried eco - all sizes, but it either mushrooms or smokes. Any suggestions? problend is 52% soy and 48% paraffin
