  1. Personally, I would stick with the white. It lets the most light in, and gives a true color of your products. I've seen some other crafters with blue, or green tents, and it just looks dark underneath. I'd find a way to incorporate the red in other ways with displays.
  2. This is a soap I made for my dog. It's 33% palm, 33% coconut, 32% olive, 2% castor. I used a small amount of lavender EO, and about a tablespoon of ground oatmeal. I wish I would of ground the oatmeal up finer though. I've been using this on my dog for the past year, and it leaves his coat really silky and soft, without drying his skin.
  3. I'm wondering...In order to get the big honkin bubbles, should you sacrifice the numbers in the creamy lather? Would a low number in creamy lather and a high number in the bubbly lather give you a better bubble? I must say though Scented, I thought your soap (especially the white/pink one) had really nice bubbles. I understand though, trying to find "the" perfect recipe to get 'em cussin in the shower from being bubbled out of their freakin minds.
  4. Looks good. Wait till you use it for the first time, you'll REALLY be hooked.
  5. I can see the new tv show now. Iron Soaper. Loved the story. Give my best to aunt Louise.
  6. Holy Bubble Beard Batman!! THAT'S the lather I'm 'talkin bout. A quick glance and I saw Jerry Garcia.
  7. Good to hear. Thanks for the help!
  8. I've been noticing that the more my soap dries, the more bubbles/lather I get. I'm just wondering if you get the same thing? I do CP with full water, so it takes forever to dry and get hard. I've been thinking about trying to discount my water, but not real sure how to do it yet. Is there something you plug in on the soap calc to figure this?
  9. Hoping you'll be back better than ever soon. Take Care.
  10. Each pound of wax will give you 8 votives. A huge factor on how many votive molds you will need depends on how much room and pour pots you have. Determine how many pounds you want to pour at one time and multiply that by 8.
  11. Never used the bases from New Directions, but I did order some bottles from them a few months ago. It.................took...............forever......to receive them. They said they were having trouble with getting enough employees for all of their orders. I read something not too long ago that they are all caught up, and shipping should be faster now. I'd still use some caution though if you're wanting anything quickly from them. You may want to give them a call first to see what to expect as far as shipping time.
  12. I poured a sample of this in a votive. Was a dud. No throw whatsoever, and I'm like you...didn't smell much like peanut butter OOB.
  13. In avery design pro you can do half fold cards and adjust your template size to the exact measurement you need for your bag. You can download the avery design pro for free if you don't have it. I use this program to make all my labels and just love it.
  14. I ordered a few things from them recently. Prices were great, and shipping was fast.
  15. I also soaped the Satsuma Guava. This scent is awesome in soap! Can't go wrong with this one. No discoloration. This has a nice crisp fruitiness to it. Tupelo Honey. This one gets better with age. I don't believe I added any color to this one, and it turned a nice honey-tan. Perfect for the scent. The scent is mellow, but does keep the "honey-ness" to it. I thru in some ground oatmeal, and it's nice for a kitchen type soap. No problems with this one. I just soaped the Fata Morgana 2 weeks ago. Ok...this is my new favorite!! A very complex scent on the masculine side. Soaped great, no discoloration, played nice in the mold. The scent so far is wonderful. I used a sliver, and this lingers nice on the skin. I use full water, so I'm still waiting for these babies to harden up a bit. I would definitely recommend this one if your looking for something unique and manly!! All these were done CPOP.
  16. Those look great. You're hooked now aren't ya. Look at the fancy-dancy cut too!
  17. That IS a big deal! Congratulations.
  18. I'm oogle'n over both of those.
  19. I used the Peaks Rose, and made the mistake of adding a little rose hip powder to it at trace, which was almost immediately. Boy, was that ever a mistake! Turned it tan/brown. It now goes by the name of "Dead Rose". I never used rose hip powder before and this was one experiment gone bad. Ya live and learn. Still smells strong and true though.
