  1. @TallTayl Hahahaha, it is more technical than most people. it's also more technical than most people think it is. I haven't been on this page in years, yours is the only name I recognized. I'm working on production for my first show in 18 months. My wax was discontinued, sold, re-made, and costs more than $40 a box more than last time I bought it. I was fully stocked for Spring 2020 shows, so I mostly have to melt my melts, add new FO, and repour. Thankfully I have about 25lbs of wax left for anything else I need to make. I go through about 200lbs of wax a year in only 7 shows. The prices of wax are making me seriously consider closing shop after more than 20 years. I'm looking at new waxes, trying to decide if I'm going to buy and test, or sell everything and quit. Looking for advice on pillar wax from seasoned makers. What do you suggest I test?
  2. Thank you, TallTayl, I appreciate the help. The peak dyes included 8 different colors, so I have been able to create a full spectrum in my soy wax.
  3. TallTayl, who do you use for liquid candle dye. I've always used Peak, but can't get it anymore. I need to find a new source. I have all my recipes for their dye, I'm not looking forward to refiguring all of my scents for new dye next year. Thankfully I have enough to finish out this year. Actually, I just poured the last of my wax for the year. I have enough stock now for all my remaining shows. Whew!
  4. Improved throw? Maybe when hot, but the cold throw is far inferior to PB.
  5. I will be switching from the Q230 as soon as this case is gone. The cold throw is so far inferior to the PB. What are some of the other soy pillar waxes out there.
  6. You said the throw was good. I only make tarts in portion cups. I don't need to wick the wax, and I don't need to break it. Would you use it for tarts?
  7. I have square and after reading this I decided to sign up for Paypal. It won't let me finish the set up on my cell phone without entering my social security number. Even signing up as a business, it won't let me bypass the SS number with a Tax ID number. I'll call monday and see what's up with that but I WILL NOT give paypal and ebay my SS number.
  8. Thank you. I have 3lbs of it that I got when Old Mill was going OOB. It is one of my favorites.
  9. Is the goddess you're talking about the Old Mill version or something different?
  10. No, it doesn't smell like fabric softener, it smells like sheets that you just pulled out of the linen closet. It hard to describe but it really does smell like linens. It's an incredible scent and blow the doors off strong. I'm headed out of town, I'll be back in a couple weeks. If there is enough interest when I get back, I'll contact Wildfire and get an exact price including shipping.
  11. I heard back from Wildfire today. The minimum order is 25lbs. I don't think there is any way I could co-op that much of the FO. Oh well, It was great. I'll have to keep looking for a good one. I did order one from Bramble Berry, it smells lemony. It smells good but it isn't what I'm looking for.
  12. Thanks, Candybee, but I'm looking for that exact FO. I emailed Linda at Wildfire. She is going to email the manufacturer and get prices for me.
