  3. Welcome back! I am not a candle maker but a soap maker.. I think everyone at some time, goes through a period of losing interest..I am at that stage at the moment! The Christmas season orders are almost all done and then it will be a much needed rest...I hope that the rest will renew my interest!!!!! Try and make one candle and see if that sparks your motivation! I would be frustrated on suppliers closing and having to try new suppliers.. I have read about all the testing that candle makers on using a new fragrance...It can't be easy!!!! I hope you can get past this feeling of not being motivated!!!!! Sending you a BIG SPARK OF INTEREST TO YOU! Hugs Maggie

  5. I agree with Beth I would also go with some height! Use some boxes under you table cloth! Please don't get upset when I say this, its not meant to be mean, just some advice to help make your set up look more Inviting.. If Your table skirt could be put in the dryer for a few minutes it would take out the wrinkles.. Your color scheme is awesome!!! I love it!!! Hugs Maggie
  6. Christine you can work with the oils that you have..If your lip balm is too hard decrease the beeswax for a start. You will not find a lip balm recipe that will only use the oils that you have access too. I would use cocoa butter, and jojoba oil and the beeswax.. Its all a matter of trying to work out your recipe..thats the fun part, making it your own version of lipbalm.. Hugs Maggie
  7. Hi Christine if you do a search at the top of this page, there are lots of recipes to try..then you can tweak it to your own preference. Here is one thread I found as a starting point..HTH's http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?8089-BCN-lip-balm-lovers-rejoice! Hugs Maggie

  10. Yes it was a mini craft-fair, the kitchen was used to sell homemade goodies, fudge, etc..My niece made home made cinnabuns and she cooked them during the sale, her BUNS rotflmao were flying out the door. Who could resist just freshly baked BUNS..NUMs I want to host a sale like that one year too, but I live way out of town..It would have to be before the snow flies though.. I THINK this is a great opportunity to SELL SELL SELL!!!! at a home show!!!
  11. If by chance if you have any labels printed out you could have them photo copied at Staples, Just an idea!!!
  12. I used to sell at a home party..Seven vendors is just so little..My niece hosted an open house sale for 3 days on a long weekend..There were 20 vendors or more! She used the entire main floor, except for their personal bedroom. It was wall to wall crafts. It was set up as a store..People were lined up down the road to be the first to purchase unique handmade gifts..She also had the customer sign up on list to be invited next year...Customers that were on the list were sent a special invitation to the show an early invite, usually Friday night. Saturday and Sunday was then open to the public..There was lots of money made hand over fist... Hugs Maggie

  22. I use Polysorbate 20 Recommended Usage: Blend together 2 parts Polysorbate 20 to 1 part Essential Oil or Oil Soluble Fragrance. Add to the rest of your ingredients.HTH's Here is some information on Poly 20 Polysorbate 20 is naturally derived from Lauric Acid (coconut oil) and is a commonly used emulsifiers of essential oils and oil soluble fragrances. By mixing your essential oils or oil soluble fragrance with Polysorbate 20 before adding to your water based products it will minimize product clouding and pull the essential oil or fragrance throughout the product instead of floating on top. Great for use in water based room sprays, linen sprays, body sprays, shampoos, body washes, bath and shower gels etc. Hugs Maggie
