  2. hi havent been here in a while but I am hoping you can help me.. I recently sent soap to a cousin and he told me he had gotten some of it in his eye and that it stings worse than regular soap... Any thing you can do about that? I have tested each bar with my tongue and it isnt lye heavy so... Also and I dont do this,,, a lady told me it stings when she useds it on her private parts... Ouch...
  3. I have read taht stearic in soap helps to make the bar harder. Is that true? and if it is how much stearic does it take per pound?
  4. check this link it full of lots of information and read read read http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?63074-New-CP-Soapers-Reference-thread
  5. let it go flat and boil it, boil it boil it.... I didnt and the volcano that took place when I added the lye could have been a total disaster.. Mine was tottal flat been sitting around getting shaken evferyday for about a week. I was using arregant bastard, dont know if that makes a difference or not...
  6. try lining your pipe with freezer paper easy peezy to get out
  7. sorry about that I finally figured out how to addd photos. Please look again on the gallery
  8. I dont know if this is gonna work or not but here goes first picture is the infamous arragant bastard soap Not to bad for such a scfarey start. The second one is dewberry and the last one is Orgasam with a little charcoal added. I was trying to make black but... got gray instead
  9. after asking about beer soap I thought I would upload a picture of it so you could see what it looks like again thanks for all your input The last one is a special request and it is melt and pour.
  10. thank you so very much. any new soap is a surprise but when i was taht glob I paniced.
  11. thank you, I will go ahead and make it and let you know. I think next time I will stick to regular beer instead of ale. I think this will come out real brown. Oh should I let it gell or no?
  12. I bought a bottle of absolute bastard ale a week ago only thing in the grocery that you could get and not have to buy a six pack of, left it open pouring it from pitcher to pitcher so it would go flat. Today I decide I am going to make a batch of beer soap or try to. This is a first for me, begin adding the lye slowley and poof it goes nutso and foams up to the top of the pitcher. we survive that one and i finish adding the lye and mixing and put it outside to cool off. I go out to check the temp and on top of it is a layer of stuff... what kind of stuff you ask???? got me but its thick and gelly like and the cooler it gets the thicker it is. Is it still good? Can I go ahead and make soap with it? or should I start over and make goats milk or something else?
  13. I make my own mold for the most part and glue them together. line em with a plastic trash bag. Now i have to tell ya the bags can make for interesting ends but a little trimming and the log is good to go. I have cut pieces of wood to fit inside so I can make small trial batches and dont have to have twenty molds sitting around. works well for me.
  14. its called Fetish, Designed to tickle your fancy and scented with Lustful Dreams.
  15. I met a soap maker at work who says she makes avacado soap and her spa lady said it seems to have made a difference in the pores in her face. I really dont know after two years I am still pretty much a rookie and working on things.
