  1. I definitely am impressed that their wax is so popular, a good sign but also a problem for when we need more wax. I love their pricing on their blends in bulk with the shipping included. Plus, freight from them is great for me so I am considering on going back to testing their blends further. However, I have the same concerns as you with stock issues now.
  2. Well look at you miss smartie with your congeal and needle point masters degree hehe! If it is like 4627, only a touch firmer, I would love to try it also. That worries me they're oos. That is exactly what happened to peak before they closed on us....each wax one by one slowly went oos and then never came back 😪
  3. Hi Sarah, May I ask how you came up with it being similar to 4627? It states it comes in slabs which 4627 does not and there is vague information on CW about this consistency aside from melting and pouring temps. 🤔
  4. That makes sense, dont know what you're missing if you didnt try it haha! Yes, that is one of the oils in the palm candles I dug out that didnt do as well as expected but in paraffin, its phenomenal!! Definitely a great oil but I think you're doing great with your testing. Have not tried the palm 2 but may skip it since paraffin gives great results in my tests plus my favorite is bakery so I better stick with what wax I know favors those 👌😁
  5. @Sarah S isn't your favorite wax though 125? Unless you mean this when it comes to candles... I do have CW palm 1 in my stash. My only issue with this wax is I found some candles I made months ago with it that had very poor cold throw and I was not totally impressed with the hot throw once I scraped it out or the jar. Will never do that again by the way, its dangerous since it's harder than even a pillar wax lol. I used good oils on the candles also so not sure why it had a off smell, light CT and average HT. The oils I used were FM cinnamon roll and lemon biscotti, also CW pumpkin pancakes...all great in paraffin. I had made one scent in melts (wsp banana pineapple) with the palm 1 however and I'm on day 3 still smelling it. Edit to add: I do think I remember someone saying palm is knock your socks off for floral, fresh, spicy, and pine but not their favorite with bakery oils. Now I wonder 🤔
  6. It has given me good results for melts. My problem with it is I just think it resembles the clamshells you find in stores and only some of those in stores have worked well for HT. Also since it looks like store bought clams, it makes me feel I have nothing superior over their $2-$3 pricing for the same looking wax. Maybe I'm overthinking that aspect.
  7. I also worry 4786 would melt in the heat...even though it is such a hard wax to break up, it can be very bendy vs breaking like iceberg pillar wax lol. I do see a few people on groups blending it with container wax which makes it even softer so maybe using it alone would be fine! Now I may have to try palm 2 🙄
  8. After doing this for so many years, I have figured out the problem. I was overloading my tarts and removing the tarts while not 100% cool back then, so it would leave oil from the previous tart transferring to the next pour. Now no issues at all with those few minor adjustments
  9. Melts: wax used: container paraffin fragrance load (%): 10% average cure time: 5 days Wax additives: none Cold throw: Excellent Hot Throw: Great The only oatmeal cookie I have tried so far that actually has the warm baked cookie note, a lot are very spice focused.
  10. I only see a regular birthday cake...is that the one?
  11. I'm OBSESSED with B&BWs happy birthday cake batter hand sanitizer...wish I could find that dupe!!
  12. ...verify that the oil smells as it should? For example a nag champa or a dupe, I have smelled many different versions of the same oil and unsure which is authentic. Thank you!
  13. I ordered from CW several times over the years and a most recent order left me very disappointed. There was a rip in the bag the oils were in and a cap was loose so majority of my items had oil on them (this particular bottle had 3/4 of the oil leaked out). Plus, they forgot half my order. I understand if a product is on backorder or whatnot but then notify me somehow instead of just not sending it and me needing to chase my paid products. They did make it right I have to say, I awaited the other half of my order and returned it all. They refunded it due to the oil leaking, the missing items and my delay. Nothing was used or opened on my part though. I gave them another chance a couple of weeks ago and everything came in perfect condition, very fast, and a sample of a wick I needed was sent. I will order from them again in the future since they fixed it in the end.
  14. Many on here prefer peak (now keystone) or RE version. I want to revisit both of those but I have tried MCreek birthday cake recently and the throw was exceptional
  15. Well I tried Fillmore since I like several of their oils and it has a very strong undertone I cannot get passed. Even my sister who did not know what it was said it smells like a nail polish remover and I agree it's some chemical note I cannot put my finger on. Other than that, the banana isn't too laffy taffy like majority of other banana breads. The search continues sigh.
  16. Thank you, tried that one with high hopes due to the great reviews and it fell short for me.
  17. In search of maple syrup and pancakes that is similar to my local tractor store brand Red Shed. I am obsessed with their version but would like to make my own. Thank you!
  18. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe candle guy who uses mostly 6006 feels 125 is very comparable to the throw of 4627. Edit to add: of course that's one opinion though.
  19. Not a newbie but have never thought about anything else working other than a presto pot and turkey fryer, so I was interested for a split second. We all are constantly learning even years into this craft. It definitely does remind me of being in a church or work meetings 😂
  20. So you're saying these aren't it? The one that is cut off at the bottom is no more than $30 for 126 ounces at a time.
