  1. Oh wow that looks just like CBL 125! Thanks for sharing 😁🤭
  2. Please let us know what you think and I would just LOVE to see photos of the appearance and consistency if you would be so kind and get a chance to do so.
  3. This I can agree with initially but then I have problems as the soy ages....maybe it is the soy I chose or my methods 🤷‍♀️
  4. Interesting how different our noses/senses can be. I think soy gets a weird undertone to it over time whereas my straight paraffin never does even years later, stays true to the oils. I always thought it was because soy was veggie based but shows it's just a opinion that varies like everything else.
  5. I fit this category very much. Sometimes I wonder if I get more excitement from reading the description and receiving oils to smell vs putting them in products LOL. My dear friend @Belinda is also guilty 😂❤🤷‍♀️.
  6. What a great idea, a informative card on your product. Why thank you for saving me some hair on my head by skipping RRD testing.
  7. I do that exact same thing! I have something good then I waste time and money on thinking I can get better and then end up right back where I started. I was going to try RRD wicks in the 129 but I hate how limited sizes they have for those. I am trying to get around using the wire core zinc so I dont have to lecture every person who thinks it is bad 🙄. However, I am NOT giving up my paraffin so when it comes to choosing wax vs wicks, wax it is so zinc will stay if need be. ETA: also curious on LX and CD
  8. Gotcha, I may beat you with ordering some haha! It is all paraffin isn't it?
  9. I will agree with this, you got me started on the 4786 train 😂🤷‍♀️
  10. @Sarah S you did end up ordering 133? How is the appearance?
  11. 😂 we are just alike with trying about every wax someone says is the bomb.com! In my experience of 129 for melts, they throw and they last for sure. I was also thinking about 125 with 129 for candles since cajun does 4786 with 4633. The only thing is, I like the more creamy appearance of the 4786 than 129 but do not want to purchase from 2 different suppliers. That's why I'm figuring out Aztec for all IGI or CW for their blends. It never ends 🙄🤦‍♀️ ETA: the 125 has a shine to it so maybe adding the matte 129 would help better than 4786 with that aspect 🤔
  12. Ravens, I know you loved/love the 4786 as well. How do you feel 4786 and 129 compare? Now did you ever test the 125 against the 129 in the exact same oils and jar combo?
  13. Has anyone tried or using CBL 129 for candles? I hear more and more about the stellar 125 around here on the forum but CW video on their different types of wax states 125 scent throw is good but not as good as 129. Do you think it is because the 129 is a harder wax or because they're trying to promote the 129 more? In the few FB groups I have seen some chandlers that have used it with LX, Zinc, or RRD wicks with success and clean burns.
  14. The reason I ask is because I am worried that going off the charts different with my own blend would be harder for me to troubleshoot wicks etc. For example, many use 6006 so having a issue with that wax would be a bit easier to troubleshoot via searching or asking on here vs a proprietary blend I do. Unless I am overthinking that aspect?
  15. Thank you TT! I have been doing all paraffin melts for over 4 years now and trying to SLOWLY dip my feet into candles. I know Trapp (rest her sweet soul) loved her 464 as well as many others. I poured some ASO midwest on it's own last night as I want to get to know the wax blends inside and out doing melts before dabbling with the wick and jar, especially since I am new to soy. The problem with the midwest is it seems very mushy and when I go to pop it out (fully cooled overnight), it is seeping oils. Not to mention the wrinkly tops! I poured around 105-115 with 10% oils. I believe the modifier they carry is recommended for this wax so I may give that or a small amount of beeswax a whirl. I love the throw on paraffin but not the shiny clear appearance most leave, also I know most paraffin wax favors with zinc wicks and I'm not sure I like a wire core. I'm very curious on the joy wax but after seeing all of their reviews being from 2016 or older along with those who state how variable it is each time, may not be the way to go here. Considered ordering 6006 but again, not as creamy dry matte as soy and I've heard alot of issues recently with variations/wicking using 6006. I know all wax blends have their inconsistencies and everyone will either love or hate a specific wax and this is why I will test for myself but I'm highly contemplating blending my own parasoy for candles vs a pre blended version. Do you feel if I keep the soy to paraffin ratios on par with say 6006, the wicking would be similar?
  16. Has anyone else come across this yet? Apparently ASO has processed 464 into their bead form which is supposed to eliminate moisture or inconsistencies that soy users are having. Thoughts?
  17. I tend to agree, sometimes settling with a tart blend is just as difficult as a wick choice for a candle...well for me 😂. I also keep trying new wax when budget permits and agree with the dimples of 133!
  18. Agreed! May have to think of another craft/product to make 😪🤷‍♀️
  19. I just came across this discussion on a Facebook group. Apparently it is more than a small increase, more than 30-50% on certain items. I understand they have free shipping but you have to be cautious on just believing free shipping equals better pricing. I have had certain items that were cheaper with shipping from other suppliers than WSP with "free shipping". I quote that because you should expect handling fees at checkout that some are not aware of at first. I know some oils are better quality and can use less. However even so, there is only so much us small businesses can charge for the type of crafts we sell so there is a line/limit. Plus I feel WSP gets plenty of business but seem to be the main ones raising prices more frequently than others. Of course all suppliers increase at some point if they have no choice but WSP was already on the higher side as it is. I'm glad I only have tried and love a handful or two of fragrances so I can continue to purchase those but I may have to test future oils carefully and decide if some can be purchased elsewhere for a more reasonable cost.
  20. The recent email reads: Hello,Over the past six months, we have seen a steady rise in shipping costs, accessorial delivery fees, peak season surcharges, and increased fuel surcharges for small box deliveries. In fact, just this month fuel surcharges increased to 7.5%. These increases are on top of the 25% Phase 4 Tariff import tax that just went into effect. All of these added costs have left us with no option but to turn to product prices for relief. Therefore, effective May 28, 2019 we are implementing a small increase on most products. To minimize the impact we will no longer round product prices to $0.99 which will allow some product prices to go down. It also means that some product increases will be less significant than others. To give you the opportunity to save, I wanted to announce this increase before the $25 off $75 sale ends. In addition, we will begin the next sale flyer on Tuesday, May 28th.We will closely monitor overall product costs and when we see that they are consistently coming down we lower product prices, just as we have done in the past. We have a long history of passing our savings onto customers and that policy and it will not change. Our goal remains to bring you the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices. This was a very difficult decision to make and I thank you in advance for understanding. 21. Not clamshell supplier related but I have always wondered about the Polypropylene vs Polyethylene debate. Many have come to believe Polypropylene is best and use polypro bags for wax but then you have that very same vendor using PET jars for scoops. Thoughts on this?
