  1. @Candybee Thank you for all the info. I'm making "real" shampoos, etc., not CP soap. I've used a few combinations of EOs & like all of them, other than them being a little strong, but honestly I've never gotten anything in my eyes that I can recall. My husband uses them & hasn't said anything. I've tried NG's Fresh Fruit Slices but I think it smells like baby aspirin, haha. I like Shea & Coconut from WSP. It's not a suntan lotion coconut if you know what I mean. I also like NG's Coconut Cream Pie, but I haven't tried it in CP, only hair conditioner & wax. It's weak in wax to me but edible in the hair conditioner. WSP is coming out with some new coconut FOs I want to try too. I'm looking for a green apple. Most reviews I find for them say they all smell like sour candy.
  2. If you had a $100 gift certificate for Nature's Garden what would you buy? I'm a total foho & I really need to cut down on my scent offerings, but you know how it is, I need a new FO fix. What are your faves?
  3. @Moonstar Thanks! I love coconut scents. That wheat germ & honey shampoo sounds familiar... it sounds good too.
  4. Thank you for the ideas!
  5. Do you have a favorite fragrance for shampoos/hair products? I've been experimenting with making my own & am having a hard time moving past EOs. It's not that I don't want to, I'm just indecisive.
  6. Really? That's interesting. I was reading some old info on SwiftCraftyMonkey & it appears it had previously been discontinued by another manufacturer but the demand was so great that Lotioncrafter started making it in-house.
  7. Thank you for your reply. The Caprol Micro Express & the AquaEm are the emulsifiers in the recipes. CME AquaEm I agree that it does need something to keep it in the air. Not heating & holding kind of weirded me out.
  8. Has anyone made the linen & room spray recipe from Lotioncrafter (not the quick & easy one)? Linen & Room Spray Also, the Herbarie has a recipe for a body mist. It states to combine ingredients but with that much water should it be heated? Botanical Body Mist Thanks!
  9. Hi there! I was wondering if anyone had found a dupe or good blend for London Calling? I have WSP's Iced Tea Twist but I think it smells like Lipton's instant tea rather than real tea with lemon. I loved the original version from B&BW. <3
  10. Yeah, I don't think many other vendors were doing well either. I had a lot of customers ask about natural products though, even vendors who sold them themselves. There were lots of people at the show walking around, just not buying anything. I hope we all have better luck at our next shows!
  11. I'm sorry you didn't do well. I didn't do well at my show this weekend either. Most people were wanting "natural" stuff & that's not my niche. They'll pick stuff up & love how it smells & looks but then put it back & walk away, so I feel your pain. <3
  12. I've only used it in wax so far. I had ordered a pound of just before they discontinued it, thankfully. I'm keeping it all to myself. I love it & don't want to share. They said on the web site it was discontinued due to low sales but I'm quite surprised by that honestly.
  13. It doesn't smell like basic baby powder or an "old lady" powder at all. It's hard to describe, but it is powdery with maybe some Sandalwood? This is from the the web site: "This fragrance brings you back to mom's vanity. Trying on her make up, patting your neck with that giant powder puff and wishing you were old enough to wear her grown up perfume. This is a delicate aroma with subtle powder and wood notes."
  14. Does anyone know of a replacement for Mad Oil's Powder Puff Girl FO since they discontinued it?
  15. Thank you, I will check them out! :-)
  16. I've tried BB's too & really like it, but their shipping is just too expensive & slow for me, unfortunately.
  17. Has anyone tried WSP's, Peak's, &/or Aztec's goat milk MP soap? Do you prefer one over the other? Do you prefer a different supplier altogether? Thanks!
  18. They're 24 watt hot plate warmers. What kind of oil? When I use FO in warmers I usually add a tiny bit of FCO to offset the burnt smell that tends to occur after a while.
  19. It's a Mainstays warmer. Both that I used today.
  20. I melted one made with 4625/4630 & Peppermint Cream FO and one made with 464/Feather Palm with Cinnamon Yum FO. *Well... I started melting the palm blend with the cinnamon about four hours ago & I'm smelling it now. It's light, but it's there.
  21. Okay, I've made three blends with three different fragrances: NG Cinnamon Yum Yums (I just call it Cinnamon Yum), WSP Peppermint Cream, & JS Blonde Moment with 4625/4630, 4625/6006 & 464/Feather Palm. I wanted a variety to make sure it wasn't an FO that was off. Two fragrances have cured for a week, the NG & WSP FOs. I've melted a Peppermint Cream 4625/4630 & a Cinnamon Yum 464/Feather Palm today. When I made them I used the max load allowed for each wax, I think so anyway. But, I can't smell either one. I really don't think I'm nose blind because I can smell the cinnamon one when I'm really up close to it & I can smell oil in my warmers. Should I allow for a longer cure or try more FO?
  22. It did both ways, when I added it to the FO & when I added it to the wax. It was quite a bit worse when I added it straight to the wax. It was a 4625/4630 blend & a 4625/6006 blend (this was when I added straight to the wax). I did it with a 464/Palm blend & only noticed a tiny amount. Everything was added between 185-190.
  23. I've used the Vanilla Hazelnut & the VBN. I really like the VBN! I liked the the Vanilla Hazelnut a lot at first, but I got kinda sick of it after a while. I think I used it too much. :-)
  24. The Christmas Mulberry was really weak at a few inches from my nose, but any closer & it was so strong it hurt. My husband thought the same thing. Even if it doesn't smell like a holiday scent I think it would work for a "candy" fragrance.
