  1. I noticed these little white dots on a few of my clamshells. Not when I poured or cured, but after they were in a cold car. Not all of the clamshells have this, just a few. Is this frosting? GoldieMN
  2. @Trappeur I only got the flowerpot votives wicked with the smallest RRD. I've been getting ready for a show on Saturday but will start testing my pint jars next week. Starting with two fragrance oils that I haven't gotten a good hot throw with using the Premiers or CDs. They have been melted and cured so I won't have to wait two weeks to get results. GoldieMN
  3. Fillmore Container isn't in the list but is up there, for me, with Rustic Escentuals. GoldieMN
  4. I've had pretty good luck with Premier wicks and CDs. RRD is another wick suggested by some. GoldieMN
  5. I spray paint all my candle jars with Rustoleum 2X spray paint. No primer, no sealer; and the paint lasts through multiple dishwashing cycles as well as power burns while testing. I do get some crackling sometimes, but it just adds to the look. That can be avoided though. I have also tried frost spray paint, but it did come off in the dishwasher in spots. You might be able to use a matte clear spray and get a frosted look that will stick. Most of the spray paint companies have a matte spray. GoldieMN
  6. Beautiful! The ribbon does add a holiday touch. GoldieMN
  7. @NaughtyNancy I also like Rustic Escentuals Christmas Bliss as do my customers. GoldieMN
  8. Check the tarts I sent in the exchange. I think I included a pumpkin spice latte from RE. Great thrower for me in 464. Also, the "Mystery Pine" is RE's Christmas Bliss (I think. lol That's why it is a mystery.) Warm Vanilla Nut, Celtic Moonspice, and Amish Quilt are good for me. Would ordering 464 from them help? GoldieMN
  9. First hit the "Browse" tab not the "Find Posts" tab. Then type in the search box what you are looking for. I didn't realize this at first either. GoldieMN
  10. Okay, I want to make sure of this. . .glass coffee pots. . .they will not explode if they get to 190 degrees or so? GoldieMN
  11. This looks like one of the first electric fry pans! Mine was avocado green. Hmmmm. . .wonder what I did with that. GoldieMN
  12. I made up a few melting pots with fragrance oils and let them cure for a couple weeks. Now it is time to remelt that wax and pour into jars. What is the best way to reheat without losing much fragrance? Quickly? Slowly? Can these go in the oven? GoldieMN
  13. So sweet! Three feral kittens adopted me in May. I've always been a dog person so this is a change/challenge. Your candles look PERFECT. GoldieMN
  14. If you aren't sure they will be ready in time for Christmas sales, I would just name them for the rest of the year. For example, my "Oh Christmas Tree" could be "Balsam Fir". "Pumpkin Latte" becomes "Spiced Latte". People look for pine scents all year round so I wouldn't omit it entirely. Good luck and let us know how it works out. GoldieMN
  15. @Trappeur You must have cloned yourself cuz I KNOW you were working round the clock to get YOUR orders done. lol Love the label! GoldieMN
  16. I'm in awe of your nose. My nose cannot detect differences in some of these pines. I only renamed that one to sell in the summer from my winter candle "Oh Christmas Tree". Yes, 464 with a little of the old Ecosoya Pillar Blend. Thanks so much! GoldieMN
  17. @Belinda Thanks, sounds like a great "stocking stuffer" gift. GoldieMN
  18. Any idea who would sell miniature ceramic or ironstone plates, about 2" wide? A place in town use to sell them with their round lotion bars so thought someone here would know of a source. GoldieMN
  19. Oh, ok. So after baking, they stay in the shape of the cookie cutter and can be hung by a ribbon? GoldieMN
  20. @Pam W I hate trying to get the stickies out of my test jars. Thanks for the tacky wax suggestion! GoldieMN
  21. I have to wipe the bottom, inside of the jar really well with a dry cloth if this happens. I now wash my new jars in the dishwasher without detergent as others have suggested and haven't had any wicks come loose. I do always tug a bit on the "secured" wick , however, just to be sure. Do they seem really stickie on your fingers? GoldieMN
